I have some buddies that are/were in a frat at Ole Miss and they are cool. But some of their brothers that hang out sometime fricking suck. Won't listen to what you have to say on a certain subject just because you weren't in their frat. It's fun when they try to talk about sports when they never even played and they make complete asses out of themselves.

I agree. And if you can make friends without having to pay for them, you'll be fine anyhow. Especially if you become friends with FRAT members.

Same experience. The frat was definitely split into click groups. You had the laid back fun fellas, the douchebags, and then the guys who didn't really belong. It's like the frat just brought them in to meet quota and take their money.
The more I watched this from an outsider's perspective, the more I laughed at the entire idea.

Ya it this case your right A&M really knows nothing about Greek life... Sororities at A&M are much better than they use to be though

It's definitely worth rushing. If you find a group you like and get a bid, definitely do it. If you don't get the right vibe you didn't lose anything by rushing. I don't know much about OM Greek Life besides having visited there but that's pretty general advice I would give to everyone

you really don't want to not be frat, even it you're not FAF, it's better than being a GDI anyday.
