Would love for all SEC teams to play Dixie

When they took it away I think they said it wasn't permanent. Just until the handful of idiots can control themselves enough not to scream "TSWRA"

It would be dumb, because many African Americans find it offensive.
Arkansas used to play Dixie up until on-campus protests over the song back in 1969.

Dixie isn't what we are talking about

The story of how Arkansas dropped playing Dixie.
It was a secondary fight song, like it is for Ole Miss.

this is the reason they quit playing it the first time, dumb shite. Leave the slogans behind and enjoy listening to heritage music in the USA.

I find hyphenated terms like 'African American' divisive and offensive.
So there.

I never much liked Dixie nor understood what it had to do with the University of Arkansas. It certainly had no relevance for me with roots in the Ozark mountains.
Exactly why Mizzou and Arky are a match made in heaven.

45 years ago? That's about when Elvis sang the "Trilogy" song that we are talking about.
By the way, the favorite song of Abraham Lincoln? Dixie.

This could just be urban legend, but word on the street is that when stupid frickstick students from Dallas and Atlanta stop yelling TSWRA when they play it at The Library, it will come back to the stadium.
The new version of slow dixie that they play now isn't terrible, but it's just not the same.
The real irony of the whole thing is that it's the Ayers settlement that was supposed to help more black kids get into Ole Miss that is the very thing that keeps us from being able to turn down the retarded counts who do shite like yell TSWRA. The sooner the university decided it's time to fight that battle again and insist that federal courts shouldn't be setting our admissions standards for us, the better off we'll all be.

Allegedly, the FTAB played Dixie way back in Old Army Days. I don't know when we quit. Maybe about the time we let girls in.

Could have sworn it was more recent than that, but I'm probably wrong.
