Even with the FOIA's broad scope, there may be a voluntary or involuntary prohibition against production of documents needed, necessary, or otherwise involved with an ongoing investigation. Call your local DA's office and demand to see their trial prep material on an upcoming case. See how far that gets ya

This is patently false. Are you claiming work product for a document prepared by the NCAA?

Of course I'm not.

However, it's reasonable to assume there may be some sort of restrictions on the production of specific documents while an investigation of a public body is pending. This isn't litigation, nor is it rocket science. Don't make it harder than it is.

Because ole miss is being childish about all this. The hammer is coming, and it's time for Ole Miss to act like adults. "Sorry, we don't have the NOA" Yeah okay, that buys you maybe 2 more months of people being in the dark

The only thing that's important to me is putting together a good defense. Fu@k your FOIA request. You'll see it in 90 days. Keep your panties on.

Fight that mother fricker to your last breath. NCAA has been corrupt through the whole thing.

Were we speeding? Yep.

Were we in the flow of traffic? Yes as well.

Were we in a Lambo going 150 on the shoulder flicking off the NCAA, hell no. And the NOA proves that.

Should we get punished, yes but for what they can prove. It's funny how they opened the investigation back up because of draft night and Tunsil is nowhere on the NOA and 90% of the NOA was from immunity given to rival players.

Tunsil was given to them on a silver platter and they couldn't close. You don't think they didn't cross the line to "save face"?

Mississippi was ranked the Most Corrupt State in the country at least a few times recently.

So are you saying that we're the only school that paid a player?

Based on what? From 2014 to 2017 signing class we have been huge losers on signing day. S. Carer ring a bell? Leo Lewis? Countless other that we led for or were even going into the last week and lost. If we were throwing buckets of cash around, explain how we lost so many players to rival schools?

Of course not. I'm saying you're insane if you look at the total body of evidence and think Ole Miss was "in the flow of traffic." The implication is that y'all were just cheating basically the same as everybody else. If you believe that to be true, then you are in complete denial.

Parts of the "total body of evidence"

Player sleeping on coaches coach because he was homeless.

Booster with pre-existing relationship with recruit giving rides to visits(including other schools)

Feeding a player at a coachs house and not charging him.

Being in the same room as a booster and recruit(but no evidence of money changing hands)

You have to take shite like that out if you want to bring up "total body of evidence".

Now, a booster giving a family member money and the alleged Leo Lewis deal is obviously bad. But these are things that most every school(including bama) is guilty of doing. We were just unfortunate (can also read "dumb") enough to get caught.

I think it's pretty smart. It will all come out eventually, might as well play it as close to the vest as possible while you still can.

Again I'm waiting. Explain how we have been such big losers on signing day the last 4 years if we are out cheating everyone?

There are 2 logical explanations.

Option 1: We are getting outbid (Bama, LSU, State, etc.)

Option 2: We are playing the game like everyone else and losing.

Putting it mildly.

Love this argument. It's not provable in any real way, but it makes Ole Miss feel better about themselves. Have at it fellas.

How the hell would you know what the NOA proves? You've not seen it and none of us will for another 75+ days.

You will get punished, and it will be for what they can prove, as well as for what they believe (i.e. LOIC).

quote:

There are 21 football violations (that we know about). 8 of those came as a result of the extended investigation/immunity deals. Not sure how that equates to 90%.

You need to begin to face reality. You'll lose more than the 11 scholarships self imposed. You'll lose more than 1 season of bowl play. You'll take 5+ years to get back to the level you were in 2014/2015. The possibility of your coach being suspended for some period of time is also real.
