I am not of the mindset that we dont cheat because I think all 5 star players and most 4 stars get paid, but can someone explain why OM cant consistently have elite recruiting classes if the sole reason we had one in 2013 and are having one in 2016 is because we are buying players while the schools we are beating out for kids are not ? Are we so poor that we needed to reestablish our slush funds during 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes?
Well, they did have pretty good classes in 2014 and 2015.
The biggest issue is that Ole Miss is beating out other teams for kids that they normally couldn't beat; i.e. LSU, Bama, Tennessee, Texas, Auburn, UGA. When that happens, you better expect those teams to start wondering what's going on especially after years of average seasons. So, that's basically it.

We are playing ball that's all. The big schools are the ones who pretend they don't cheat.

pretty much. However, big schools don't like to share.
Especially if the team wasn't performing really well years prior. It perks their ears up.

The '13 class had many unique connections that we aren't normally fortunate to have though. Treadwell' best friend played at OM, R.Nkemdiche's brother was coming off a freshman AA year, etc.
Tunsil was a head scratcher, but his brother got a scholly (probably his only one) so that sort of made sense

It's just odd that we're only paying kids when we actually beat people out for recruits, but last year when Tennessee beat us out for Richmond, NO ONE cried foul when they have had some below average recent seasons.
Its just all silly recruiting talk. The "big" schools are all paying kids until they lose one to another school, and suddenly its a systemic problem for other colleges to pay kids like they are.

Big schools also don't have to cheat as much. When Alabama, for example, can pretty much guarantee that you make it to the NFL, that goes a long way. Not even considering the fact that a lot of these kids grow up fans of theirs.
Which is why I wish you had to attend school in your state if you want to receive a scholarship. Especially when my tax payer dollars are paying for your arse to get through Highschool.

Just goes to show what naked adrenaline can do for your competitive spirit and why streakers, back in my day, were all 4.4 fast.
Anyways, my new favorite gif. Thank you.

Of course they don't. I understand though it's hard enough recruiting against each other for another team to start pulling guys they normally have no shot with. Even after losing high profile guys the last couple of years(too many to name) we are still recruting better OOS than ever before.

Laughable of course they do. All high profile kids require some incentive regardless of the school recruiting them. Alabama has the best and biggest network so to speak. They also have the best recruiter to ever live so you see the results. The reason the blue bloods can do so is because they're old money. Tennessee for example isn't going to stay on the deck forever because they've got the studs to go after whomever they want.

Has anyone put out an APB for RebelGator? He melted for weeks over losses to UGA basketball. I'm genuinely worried for his safety.

What happened to Standifer? I believe he was "dismissed shortly after Treadwell made it to campus.

He smoked grass too much. He wasn't dismissed until right before last season.

ARE YOU frickING KIDDING????
Your fanbase went full fricking retard, accusing us of cheating, even resorted to twitter threats, Quicksilver still accuses us of paying Drew Richmond.

You did pay Drew Richmond but there's nothing wrong with that

I think you're also just realizing the effects of being a major recruiting program. LSU, Bama, UGA, UT, Auburn constantly get called cheaters and P4P schools. Well, now you're getting it too.

I don't throw stones at programs doing what's necessary and make no mistake it's necessary. However I do take offense when it's used as the only reason kids choose us in February. If Freeze was a shitty recruiter we wouldn't even be getting in the door with kids.

Its a little more complicated than that. I don't buy even a fraction of what the "insiders" say goes on but the bigger schools are coordinated and have learned to be much more creative. The rumor mill doesn't speak that way about OM.

Wait, I thought your program was already shut down?

No it's really not more complicated than that. We aren't supposed to be playing ball which is what's got people's panties in a bunch.

We didn't have to pay Richmond, he couldn't wait to frick Ole Miss over. We're Tennessee, YAOM, and TCU just scored again.
