So the NCAA had been investigating our football program for over a year and still hasn't found anything other than a wife beater spewing off shite? And I'm supposed to be worried?

Also, they're investigating our women's basketball program. The initial case they were investigating against our football team was CJ Johnson's recruitment under Nutt and we were cleared of those charges. Ever since then it's been all about our women's basketball team that could actually get the death penalty

How can Alabama guarantee a kid to the league? Do you understand how many top 10 players at their position are booted each yeAr from bama? They are putting 5-8 guys in the league each year, they sign a little more than 5-8 kids in a recruiting class.

[]The biggest issue is that Ole Miss is beating out other teams for kids that they normally couldn't beat; i.e. LSU, Bama, Tennessee, Texas, Auburn, UGA. When that happens, you better expect those teams to start wondering what's going on especially after years of average seasons. So, that's basically it.[/]

Do you have an example or are you just speaking in generalities because you don't know much about another schools recruiting? We got Tunsil because we were the only school who gave his brother a free ride. We beat out okie lite for treadwell, had RN's brother, and signed a 5* in Connor who lived 20 miles from Oxford.

Fear of the death of his father made him find the holy grail so your premise is false

Let me rephrase that, they can practically guarantee they will get them to the league if the player does everything and puts in all the work on their end. Even with the fact that the slackers get booted, they are still more likely to make it than if they go most anywhere else. It's a pretty strong bargaining chip.

Exactly what DMagic said. And when I say no one, I mean other fan bases. There's not a soul outside of Ole Miss fans that batted an eye at Drew Richmond flipping. But Tunsil flips and everyone everywhere accuses us of cheating, when we're just playing the game. I don't deny it happened, but you're blind if you don't see a double standard.

Big schools also don't have to cheat as much.

Laughable of course they do.

So let me get this straight. You think Bama/USC/Ohio St/LSU/etc. have to cheat just as much as OM to get kids to come to them?

Dont ever go full retard.

Tunsil never publicly committed anywhere. Richmond and Lewis flip in two consecutive days and everyone just laughs at us which isn't surprising but it's funny to watch the justification of the double standard.

Double standards exist for a reason. Ole Miss is a historically shite program, for them to land the #1 player in 4 different states is a big confederate flag.

Don't blame the world for their skepticism, you've earned the extra scrutiny.

I don't consider it cheating I consider it business and yes they do just as much and more than either Mississippi school. If it was just about incentive then Chris Jones or Bo Scarborough would be wearing red and blue alas they are not. I bet you're one of the guys who thinks state does it the "right way".

Ole Miss is done. Not that it really matters that much. They won't be that much less signicant even with the death penalty in place.

I agree. Everyone cheats. Its just wrong when Ole Miss does it. As long as we're clear, all good.

No it's really not more complicated than that. We aren't supposed to be playing ball which is what's got people's panties in a bunch.

I'd probably feel the same way as you if I was an OM fan. I still think its less about who you are and more about how you were doing it. OM didn't just play ball, and that's what got peoples panties in a wad.

Historicity doesn't matter to most recruits because they only see recent history. The players that Tennessee is grabbing have only seen the vols be dog shite since they were in grade school. They're not picking the Vols because of 1998 or even 2007. Jones is a good recruiter and Tennessee has a huge network of hungry boosters. It's not rocket science.
