I've been a diehard fan since I was 12. I did attend eventually. My parents didn't even graduate HS.
I didn't say it was impossible, I just said it was rare. Would you disagree that Mississippi has an abnormal amount of Bama and LSU fans running around?
I'd put the numbers like this:
35% MSU
30% Ole Miss
20% Alabama
10% LSU
5% Other (includes the 10 USM fans)
I have also lived in Alabama and Tennessee and I would place their states like this:
Alabama:
55% Bama
40% Auburn
5% Other
Tennessee:
70% Tennessee
10% Alabama
15% Nashville and Memphis melting pots
3% Other
2% Vanderbilt students and alums that stay in Tennessee

Kirk academy.... Just the thought of Grenada makes me want to get tested.. But they did have some trashy dimes
Dammit that's my hometown y'all are talking about. My wife and I are both from there.
We went to GHS, though, so talk shite about Kirk all day.

Also, speaking of Grenada, I guess I've never noticed the problem you speak of because it's a pretty pro-OM town.
I don't know if you've noticed, but Jake N' Rip's has giant fricking Colonel Reb out front and there are several other businesses that display only OM or MSU stuff. It's nice.
I see a lot of Tennessee and Bama stuff now in Corinth, but I figure that's because we're a border town to both states.
Also, if any of y'all are ever passing through Grenada and wanna eat I'd suggest Lost Pizza Co. I don't know who owns it, but it has the phone booth that used to be in Taylor's Pub in there, so I'm assuming it's the same folks. It feels very Oxford to me and I wish we'd had it when I was in high school. The food is really good, too.

Lost Pizza is a franchise. They have a pretty good one in Tupelo

Wanderin, how are you liking Corinth?

Was that...2010?
I was there. I had just gotten back from Basic Training. LoL
I never said it wasn't trashy. But it's home to me. Haha
P.S. - My wife and I are decidedly un-trashy, just FYI. I mean, we drink wine and shite, you know? Classy shite. And not from boxes!
(Though, I've had boxed wine and honestly, I couldn't tell you the difference. Except for the wine we had in Italy. That shite will frick you up. )

I love it. We ended up in a nice neighborhood with really great neighbors so that's made the transition really easy. I'm mostly loving being back in MS after living for 3 years in Fort Worth, TX.
I hate Texas. It was nice having so much stuff around to do, and we lived in an APT that was a 5 minute walk from downtown Fort Worth which was cool, but I'm a small-town MS boy at heart. Good to be home. :D
The hospital has been awesome for her. All the other internal medicine residents she's with are great people and the Attendings are all really good at teaching and mentoring them. That has helped it be easy for her since she's working 14 hour days. LoL
All in all, everyone here is extraordinarily friendly. I haven't met an a-hole yet. I like it.

Private schools make you soft. Y'all don't know what it's like in these STREETS, son!
You ever had school cancelled because of gang threats?!! Gangs from CHICAGO?! What?!
Yeah that happened. I'm not sure what the whole story ever was about that.

Personally, I'm an Alabama public school grad. We had a white guy dating black girl and there was some black guys who fought him over a weekend.
RACE WAR MONDAY, son!
It was IN TENTS!!!
