other than saban, there isn't one coach on that list better than les miles. and you even have sumlin above him. he's never beat miles with arguably the best offensive talent in the sec (oh yea, Sherman left the O loaded).

Ohhhhhh well that doesn't change things at all

i don't think it's that bad of a list considering the criteria. mine wouldn't be exact but your last 4 seem to be the last 4 i'd want for 5 years so...

I'm not a fan of Saban, but to not have one of the greatest of all time #1 is hilarious. But if wearing down is making the sugar bowl in consecutive years and "proven but young" means almost going two whole seasons without a conference win, I'll take "wearing down" every time.
Miles isn't my favorite either, but he's got a title, 2 conference titles, 3 division titles, and a sugar bowl to boot. Having him outside of the top 3-5 is laughable.
ETA: oh and despite two 8 win seasons, he averages 10 wins per for a decade in the toughest division in football.

McElwain should be ranked last until he at least coaches 1 game. Putting him at 7th is ridiculous.

His whole list is ridiculous

11. Miles - Great coach, but like Saban and Spurrier, he's on the back 9 of his career and I just don't see him coming to Arkansas and doing anything except coach Arkansas to maybe a 9 win season then retire in 3 years.
So you thinking 9 wins or better for Arkansas under Bert soon? You may be right. Just wondering what you guys expectations are.

Question - how many SEC coaches have won SEC Titles with recruiting classes that average in the mid-20s?
I will hang up and listen.

If your honest opinion is that Bert is the best coach in the conference based on past results and characteristics that would point to future success then that is worse than being a bad troll.
Well said. Upvote for you sir.

SEC fans, we apologize for the 17-0 defeat...now the rest of you have to put up with Arky fans this whole off-season.

Do not apologize to Ole Miss. They made it worse.

Bert is #1 in the SEC in moral victories in the past couple of years.
