It's not bullshite. College players can get insurance policies towards a Lattimore type of injury. There are still some players who do it out of commitments they made to parents as well. Yes, it still exists. Not sure why you are getting so riled over this.

You say that like everyone gets giant 2nd contracts. They don't. And the risk of injury is just as big (probably bigger) in the NFL during your first, small contract than it is during your final year of college. So, that doesn't make sense. Either way you are playing football and risking injury BEFORE you get a big contract.

Ask Lattimore or Gurley about the risk of injury

Gurley was the #10 pick and got $12.3M. He seemed to do fine. Lattimore had 3 knee injuries, not exactly the same thing.

Because Puppets is like a moth to the flame when it comes to Alabama. He can't help it.

What's your point? First you say you agree he shouldn't declare because he wouldn't be considered good enough by NFL teams (which is BS) and now you're saying he should've declared?

You are still one year closer to that second contract if you leave early. It is not for every kid but can be great for a lot of them.

Sure, but if you feel like you are in a situation where you have a great chance to improve your draft stock your senior year, there is no reason to go ahead and leave and get a 3rd round contract somewhere just so you are 1 year closer to a possible 2nd NFL contract.

The second contract is the money contract. Your logic should apply to Henry. He will not be a first rounder , but if he comes back next year and runs for 2K, he could be according to you.

Except nobody in NFL draft rooms will care if he runs for 4,000 yards, his draft stock is set in stone. Howard and Allen (like Lawson at Auburn) have the potential to show expanded games and attributes that will move them up teams boards and make them more money.

Seriously, why do you do this to yourself? Is your goal to act as dense as possible? I don't get it.

All depends on the player. Henry has no upward mobility, coming back will gain him nothing. Same with A'Shawn. Howard has massive upward mobility and so does Allen.

Very true, some have to get the money as soon as possible

I think RBs should never be grouped in with the other positions, never blame one for leaving early. Much higher risk of injury and they only last so long in the league.

I'm saying he is not coming back because he got a favorable report. He obvious did not agree with their evaluation.

Agree. Their average careers are so short and nobody gives them big 2nd contracts anyway because of that fact.
