It was just a great game to watch. I was definitely nervous when it was 21-6 though. We can't spot Oregon 2 TDs or it will be a long night.

Bama got beat up. Lots of players being helped off the field and/or knocked out of the game. That's ironic because Saban said before the game that Bama had to be the agressor and not the recipient of agression.

Urban beat Saban at his own game.

This year's Bama team overachieved greatly. This was easily the worst Bama team since 2008, maybe 2007. To win the SEC, regardless of how bad it was, was a great accomplishment.

That being said, the entire secondary can GTFO. They suck and we literally have no where to go but up next year.

The bold part was where Ohio State executed much better; they converted 10/18 third downs and limited explosive plays by the Alabama offense.

Yep, this was huge last night
Bama's defense has been giving up 3rd and long during crucial times all year, but last night was a clinic by Ohio St. Think one was a 3rd & 21 that Ohio St. converted, that was impressive. You don't win Championships giving up 3rd & 21's....

Bama's Defense
Needs the most work this off-season

Honestly the Meyer-Saban coaching games prove just how much having the underdog label can help a team. In 2008, Saban outcoached a far superior Florida team, but Tebow took over in the 4th quarter with a Heismanesque performance. In 2009, same story but no heroics from Tebow.

This year, everyone was telling Ohio State how they didn't have a chance and telling Alabama how great they were. College kids are extremely impressionable and a month of disrespect is really a huge advantage when you have talent almost equal to your opponent.

t felt like this team was still a year away most of the season, but all the credit in the world to our QB depth. Not a lot of teams could pull that off. Still have one more game, but this team has accomplished more than anyone thought they could this season.

Will be very interesting to see how Ohio State does next season. They snuck into the playoffs at the end, were disrespected all year, and were huge underdogs against Bama. Next year OSU will start off in the top 2-3 and be favorites for a title run. The expectations really start to wear on a team after a while.

This is the most insightful comment of the new year so far. For college football players with immense talent but very impressionable egos, the difference between the "underdog" and "favorite" label is just profound.

This is not an excuse about the loss - the better team won. PERIOD. It's just a good observation about the very wide swings of performance that you get from college football players, particularly the "elite talent".

I kind of did. I felt like we could have piled it on at that point. The 3 and out we had after we stopped their O and got the ball back was huge, and I knew that it would be a difference making 3 and out for us.

2 passes on 1st and 2nd, and a run play on 3 and like 5. Damn.

Oh well, they were more physical than us, especially their O vs our D, and I felt like our offense was never on the field.

Good job, Buckeyes

Idk man. Somehow I still think Bama is better than Ohio State. I was surprised with the big plays that the Buckeyes made.

Give Nick Saban four weeks to prepare with a motivated squad and it is usually lights out for the other team. This Bama team did well and won an SEC title. And this was a lessor team than Nick's teams in 11 and '12.

I think Bama's secondary was the difference in the game. They gave up a lot of third down conversions and long passes. I also think they underestimated the speed of the OSU RB.

Yes they were. We do not have playmakers on defense. That kills us.

If Kiffin doesn't go full retard on third and mid and third and short. Yall are running clock in the third qtr.

The better team always wins. That is why the score is kept.

Ohio St saved Alabama from a 4 TD beat down by Oregon. Better now than get curb stomped by the ducks.

I was over the loss last night; I'm still discussing it because it's big news and very recent, but I will not dwell on "what ifs". Alabama just got beat. Ohio State executed better and was coached better. As Saban said in his post-game presser, he never felt the team had command of the game even when they were up 21-6. This fan has no excuses. It was still a great season to watch overall.

I don't know what the hell happened to SEC West defenses (except Arky's.)
