I was over the loss last night; I'm still discussing it because it's big news and very recent, but I will not dwell on "what ifs". Alabama just got beat. Ohio State executed better and was coached better. As Saban said in his post-game presser, he never felt the team had command of the game even when they were up 21-6. This fan has no excuses. It was still a great season to watch overall.

Yes they were. In today's CFB, no pass rush = you lose.

Idk if Ohio St was so much the better team than Urban Meyer was just the best coach in the dome last night. I mean to pull that off with a 3rd string qb is incredible.

Saban is still a great coach one of the best but Urban earns his due for this year

I imagine that the score would have been alot worse if Barrett would have been healthy and starting

i felt like bama had control of the game at 21-6. bama was doing what theyve been doing all year up to that point by stopping state from punching it in, creating turnovers and had a balanced O. maybe its just me with this viewpoint

Fully admit we lost to the better team with the better game plan last night. Props to OSU and their embarrassment of riches at the QB position.

I felt the same way, but for the most part, I think it was an illusion simply because we know Bama too well. The reality is, two huge gaffes by OSU put Bama up (as CNS admitted) but they were not in control. TOP, yardage and (most importantly) 3rd down conversions clearly showed OSU dominated the game. Props to the Buckeyes for a great game.

Honestly, I was waiting for OSU to crack under pressure and make a fatal mistake that would've cost them the game. I was surprised when Bama started making these mistakes.

It felt like this team was still a year away most of the season, but all the credit in the world to our QB depth. Not a lot of teams could pull that off. Still have one more game, but this team has accomplished more than anyone thought they could this season.

Great game from Bama as well. In a down year, still a heck of a season. Hopefully we'll see you guys again next year.

I don't believe any Bama fans have debated this point. If you'd have told me Bama scored 35 I'd have thought we routed them. Ou defense was manhandled and it happened on the ground.

Obviously I was not feeling great down 21-6, but I did feel OSU was moving the ball well enough to score some points.

I have no place to pile on Bama, and I won't.
But y'alls' buddy Finebaum is a spineless POS, can't have Saban or Bama take responsibility or shoulder blame for loss.
This Dumbo now makes it "we" for last night's embarrassing showing. The SECW.
bullshite.
Yall need to leash that mutt. He is not watched in my house or heard on my radio.

He is NOT and NEVER will be MY spokesman for my division.
Yall created that monster. Yall keep him.

Sorry to see yall have such a rough night...none of us would've done better against OS last night. They were that good.

I do think we could have won if we had taken advantage of getting the ball at the OSU 25 after that horrible punt in the 4th. Not sure we would have deserved to win. Too many big plays given up by defense and not enough third down conversions by the O.

Ohio State is better because of one facet of the game - defending the long pass. It has been the achilles heel for us all year, and we never improved enough in that area to be a championship team.

In the rest of the areas of football, they are two well matched teams but with a slight advantage to Bama. Unfortunately, in the game of football, you can play the "what if" and the "but we ALMOST..." game all day long, and it doesn't change the scoreboard.

Congrats to tOSU. They certainly silenced the doubters yesterday, and the better team won.

Yep, Bama did good to make it far as they did, and I love this teams character/chemistry, but this team was to off and on to be considered elite. Plus Bama didn't have the killer shutdown defense either

Kudos to Ohio St.

The bold part was where Ohio State executed much better; they converted 10/18 third downs and limited explosive plays by the Alabama offense.

The defense stopped Ohio State 3 straight times, and the Alabama offense scored nothing. The offense deserves blame for Ohio State scoring 28 unanswered (with the pick-6). When it came to having advantageous field position or the ball back due to to a defensive stop, the Alabama offense did not get it done.

I put most of the blame for this loss on offensive execution and coaching. The defense played well enough in the second half for Alabama to win.

Regardless, Alabama was fortunate that the score wasn't much worse. Ohio State outplayed Alabama. Qualitatively and quantitatively, they were the better team.
