You Missouri hillbillies don't know a thing about SEC history or fanbases. Quit putting your foot in the mouth.

Historically we are a far, FAR better program than UCLA. And with only 1 program in state (us), we can't sign the top 25 in GA every year. It's only natural other teams (many elite programs within 5 hours of us) will get some of the talent. But dont' act like we dont' get our fair share.

I think the Texas comparison is a good one. Also it's not like they have 20 national titles or something, prior to 2005 the last one they won was 1970 (in a year they lost their bowl game, mind you).

Auburn: Michigan State. Has more than its fair share of success but overshadowed by its in-state big brother.

Auburn has had more success than Michigan State, but I'd take that. MSU has a great program and Dantonio builds great teams esp on D. I think they will easily be a top 10 team this year with a 5th year senior QB in Cook and another wicked defense.

don't have in state recruiting grounds.

Nebraska and Tennessee are not very similar at all when it comes to in-state talent.

Last 5 cycles

Nebraska
0 5 stars
2 4 stars

Tennessee
2 5 stars
40 4 stars

Georgia: Texas. Lots of money, lots of tradition, tons of in-state talent. Best college towns in their respective conferences. Consistently underachieving

Sort of. Not nearly as much money as Texas. Also not nearly the facilities Texas has.

I was thinking that UGA has a very strong alumni network, but UT has an insane amount of cash. I think the parallels are close enough to justify the comparison though

I just did a google search and they're considered one, and they're ranked high in a lot of majors. Is there something you know that the web says otherwise?

Historically, TN isn't elite on talent, espeically compared to most major recruiting states. Comparison fits while maybe not to the degree

Over the past 5 seasons Tennessee has produced more talent than SC or MS. I believe the TN doesn't produce HS football narrative is outdated.

It's certainly overstated. And unlike Nebraska, Tennessee neighbors several talent-rich states. Nebraska used to recruit kids from California when they were winning championships.

Florida: Oregon. Both programs started in the 90s. Tremendous success under a recently departed coach. Fans are slightly bitter about this fact.

Oregon has how many national championships? Which recently departed coach are UF fans bitter about?
