We still have to play #1 and #3. If we win out, we're in. If we don't, we're out. It's very simple.

I think it's safe to assume the SEC Champion will be in the playoff regardless of W/L record.

I also think it's highly possible for the west to have a two loss division champ.

Same story for AU, Ole Miss, and UGA. MSU is the only one that could maybe drop one and still get in. Otherwise it is the same for 4 SEC teams at this point.

Yep. Makes the AU-OM game that much bigger, and the Bama-MSU, Bama-AU, and OM-MSU is the same. Love the playoff format thus far.

IDK

Having 3 SEC teams in tells me a conference championship isn't going to mean all that much.

Georgia not getting much respect at 11, motivation I guess.

I found that odd, too. Didn't expect them to be top 4, but somewhere 7-9.

Wow, three from SEC.

"Eye test" must be important.

Which is a plus for all real teams.

I think the ONLY thing that can be taken from tonight is the committee does not care about conference affiliation and they will put the best 4 teams in regardless of conference.

Not sure about that. Certainly preseason had something to do with it. Bama is only at 6 because they are Bama and they started high. They had to ignore the body of work to put them over other one loss teams.

What's crazy is that both OM and AU are happy now...but one of those teams will be done in less than a week.

Committee cares about wins and Bama plays 2 of top 4. Looks good to me.

committee is trolling....they know all these teams will play each other......then when a team like Mich State beats Ohio....they will call that a great win and bump them up.....they know bama plays 3 teams in the top 20....at least....they know if bama doesn't run the table...they aren't in anyway......committee did well.....they buy into the sec greatness....knowing that they can move other teams up after the sec starts eliminating its own...starting this weekend with Ole Miss....

I think it depends on the conference.

Obviously the SEC Champ would be the most attractive.

Larry, your dead father wants you to know that Bama's got 2 to back to back losses coming their way.

This is great. Smart move for the Committee.

They picked it precisely correct for the moment, rather than projecting to worry about where teams will be. Things will shake out and we likely won't get three in. But if things work out so there is an argument for it, they've set the stage.

LSU has a long way to go...but with a win over bama next week....they will shoot way up.....and then when Auburn beats Ole Piss, loses to Ga and Bama....and then State loses to Ole Miss and Bama......LSU wins the West....pretty simple.....

Ole Miss will get over it and still can salvage a very good season.
