Almost credible until this statement. Why in the blue hell would OM ever think about interviewing Dan Mullen?

Yes because not pushing back against the NCAA has worked well for us so far...

I'm not sure pushing back has ever worked for anyone. The NCAA isn't a court of law and has a well-known history of vengeful response to resistance.

Leo is "Student Athlete 39" and he was interviewed three times. First he was interviewed without OM knowledge or OM being present. (This is a no-no according to by-laws) This information was withheld for weeks and then told to us. We requested to cross examine him or be present at the second interview of Leo (which seems to have been granted) but Leo's counsel advised him not to respond to any of the questions and the NCAA did not make him answer. (He pleaded the 5th basically) Lastly, Ole Miss was not allowed to sit in on his third interview or even listen to his statements.
Also, we requested to interview both Mullen and Leo together but the committee and Mullen both denied that request.

This is pretty much bullshite by the NCAA investigative arm. Anxious to see how the COI responds to these tactics.

Just scanning through but I see a good bit of Farrar scapegoating.

Some of the rebuttals are weak on content and rely heavily on semantics.

Honestly, OM is only challenging 1/3 of the allegations.

So, how do you deny LOIC or Failure to Monitor when your admitting to 14-15 allegations made by the COI?

This is better than we could have dreamed

What is bullshite is what he wrote. Its not a court of law, Ole Miss does not have the right to interview witnesses.

The NCAA has enough in the original NOA to hammer OM as much as they want (30+ scholarships, 3+ years bowl bans). However, they didn't put LOIC in the original, so it would be difficult to hit Freeze with a show cause without the new allegations.

So it was smart for OM to say 'LOIC wasn't in the original so you can't say it now if you can't prove the new allegations'. It may not work, though. The NCAA can do what they want and don't need proof.

"The University has concluded that significant violations occurred in connection with its football program over a period of years, INCLUDING DURING THIS INVESTIGATION. "

But there was no LOIC.

Ole Miss is going to get absolutely hammered. Farrar is pissed now and will tell the NCAA whatever they want to hear.

Basically Ole Miss is thumbing their nose at the NCAA with this response.

Say good night rebels.
