I should clarify my position in one regard. Texas has a fairly good history in sports. I won't take that away from the Whorns. They can stake a claim to being a historical college football power.

That having been said they are such egotistical jackasses that they just can't resist killing the goose that laid the golden egg. They bumped off the SWC. They are doing their level best to bump off the Big 12. The Whorns are a program that just cannot resist befouling their own nest.

If the SEC absolutely had to take another program from the state of Texas I'd rather have the Red Raider Rash to deal with then the Longhorns.

Yup. That is the common theme.

We do share a state, which is pretty cramped considering how big their ego is.

Dr Bowen was very specfic in the Summer of 2010 when he said, "We are committed to the Big Xii as it stands RIGHT NOW."
Neb and Co bolted within a month, and then the TRUE plans of the LHN came out...GAME CHANGED.
Funny hiw the horns started the changing conf train but are pissed when others actually did what they tried to do.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to get over the fact that Mizzou was tired of getting its arse beat by Kansas and Nebraska so they left the Big12 with their tail between their legs.

Err...right.I'm sure that SEC TV money had absolutely *nothing* to do with it.

Very well played Arksulli. The truth hurts.

PPV games (tantamount to its own network)

Right, because a PAY PER VIEW game that is purchased by each individual viewer is exactly the same as a network run by ESPN dedicated solely to a single team that is forced on certain cable packages.

Let's not understate this: Viewers in certain areas do not have the option to remove the Longhorn Network from their cable package, nor can they have any charges associated with it removed from their bill without removing other channels as well.

Ask Ole Miss how much they enjoyed their blowout win in Austin...well, those who were able to watch it on your shitty channel at least.

frick that

Going to Lubbock is the worst

If the SEC takes another Texas team it should be a DFW or Houston based school. That leaves TCU, SMU, Rice, and Houston.

None of them will cause problems, they'll all be extremely grateful to be here, and they will make recruiting in either city that much easier.

I'd want SMU just b/c it would be convenient for me (I'm greedy like that) and would turn Dallas into SEC territory.

How have they killed the goose that laid the golden egg? If you go with the theme that they chased off Arkansas, A&M, Mizzou, Colorado and Nebraska, how has that killed the goose that laid the golden egg?

You guys have incredible imaginations. Most people would say that Texas is on a really bad football tear but they will get over it. This Golden Egg shite just shows how "second tier" has been burned into your collective brains.

Does Alabama's scrotum retract at the thought of Texas or OU going to the SEC? I doubt it.

Alabama is clueless how it goes with Texas. Some teams do and none are named Stanford. Of course I'm sure you are a Texass fan that isn't proud enough to put the logo next to your name. Vaginal tendencies are common in Austin
