Any of the defensive his mentioned are fine IMO. But if it's not a Bama guy, give it to Cunningham.

On offense, I actually think it should be Ardarius Stewart. Hes been tremendous this year, and i think he's been our offensive MVP.

OFF: this would be a great year to pick an olineman, since no skill player really stood out. I haven't paid enough attention to know who the best linemen are. For Bama, maybe Pierschbacher?

DEF: My homer pick is Allen. Barnett, Key, Adams (LSU) all had good years. I think Reuben Foster is underrated and deserves consideration.

Any objective person can see Fitzgerald that did more with less and has better stats than Hurts in rushing and scoring.

For me, it's hard to justify giving any kind of player of the year honors to the quarterback of a team with a losing record.

Jalen Hurts is ahead of Nick Fitzgerald in almost all passing stats and is basically #2 behind him in rushing stats.

If Tennessee hadn't lost to Vanderbilt I'd probably actually say give it to Dobbs. I just don't think that's ever going to happen at this point.

Guice on offense. He carried the team when Fournette was down with injury

All but TD to INT - so yea, almost all. Did you look at the stats above? Fitzgerald is in the bottom 1/2 of the league in basically all passing categories. Hurts is in the Top 4 in basically all passing categories.

He is #2 in rushing for QBs behind Fitzgerald. Yards, YPC, TDs.

What are we laughing at here?

Let's be honest - if Chad Kelly hadn't hurt himself he'd be the SEC O-POY and it wouldn't be close.

Honestly you're right, but it's sad. VOLS certainly didn't lose to Vandy or SCe because of Dobbs. He was sloppy against A&M but it's not like he had a bad game.

I just looked at his SEC stats for the year and was kinda surprised how they stacked up against Hurts and Fitzgerald

He's been a wrecking ball since that South Carolina debacle.

I think ArDarius Stewart is the most dangerous player on BAMA's offense . I know he don't touch the ball every down , but when he does he is lethal .

To answer the question POY : hast to be Guice , he's second in rushing but just barely and if you count when LF played , he was a backup. He also is tied for 7th in scoring and everyone above him except one player is a place kicker .

Whoops. Just checked his numbers against SCe and they were atrocious. I guess getting blackout rage drunk will do that

Defense should be Cunningham.

Dude has won like 4 games for Vandy. He's crazy good.

Hell he only had 8 yards against BAMA , so that makes his season that much more impressive , not counting that he came off the bench when Lenard played . Guice had almost 1300 yards which is almost 300 more than miami's leading rusher on 35 less carries and as many TD's as miami's
