Did you even read the article you copied? It's not winning %, it's average percentile rank (where the team finished every year relative to everyone else).

mostly skimmed it and looked at who was on it & how many times

A&M went 94-28-2 in the 90's. A win pct. of .766 which was better than Notre Dame (.707), Michigan (.762), Ohio State (.739), and Colorado (.741) during that same timespan.

Not only that, but A&M wasn't eligible for a postseason ranking in the 1994 season due to probation. That team went 10-0-1. 1993 Auburn was in the same boat and they went 11-0.

It's pretty easy to see Oklahoma and alabamas dominance when you look at it this way. Nebraska and tOSU as well.
