Take it fwiw but I was on a bus in disney world with wife + kids and Jordy Hultberg was on the bus with his wife and a daugher or two, cant remember exactly. Empty bus except for us and I had on an LSU hat. He told me that Saban did make that call.

I dont really care if its true or not, just passing along a very cool story to you broseph.

I could imagine Jimmy Sexton made a call like that, but not Saban. I also think given the choice between Bama and the corndogs, Saban would have probably chosen LSU. Many simmering vitriolic posters here forget how much love Saban gave to LSU when he took the Bama job, but I guess haters are gonna hate.

Knowing that we have Saban does.

Well when that is all you have, I guess you have to cling for something. So sorry you have such a sad personal life.

He was very cool about it in all aspects, and remains that way to this day. I especially respected the way he greeted the LSU seniors that first year. You could tell he cared about those guys imo. All this bullshite about him being an a-hole to his players is nonsense.

Of course. They were his players even though Miles was the HC. Maybe someone can make a thread about that.

What's the point of the thread?

Noone knew who Saban was prior to LSU hiring him. The same can also be said about Les Miles. LSU and Bama's programs are side by side right now in dominance in CFB. Saban was our coach. The NFL gave him an offer he couldn't and shouldn't refuse so he tried his hand there. He wanted to get back into CFB and Bama jumped on the chance to get him. Good for them.

I don't see why LSU fans get so jacked about another team's coach. He is one of the top 5 coaches in the country, but so is ours and they both beat each other about the same amount of times.

You wish. LSU is up there, but they aren't "side by side" with Bama unless and until they win the NC this year.

Yeah cheese dick, tell me how he is? Like you are going to have first hand knowledge of how he is. Well you might have first hand taste knowledge as obviously you live attached to his left nut.

Since you guys claim to know Coach Saban so well, how about telling us one thing he cannot do that Coach Miles has had no problem doing?

Coach a team that had less than 100 yards offense in a BCS title game?
