Miles has an offensive background and LSU has notoriously shitty offenses while consistently producing solid defenses. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who played the biggest role in their success.

A good DC is hard to find but Chavis isn't perfect

Your Dad's right....although your job and a major DC job in the SEC are not like each other

It's almost worse if he stays at this point.

news that he might not be flying with the team is a sign that he may already have made a decision to leave Baton Rouge for College Station, Texas

Or more likely it is a sign that he is going to visit his family in Knoxville, TN......the SECR eats everything the media feeds it.

At first I was pissed about Alleva not doing whatever it takes to keep Chavis. I'm still concerned about what we would lose in recruiting, but LSU's defense was good before Chavis and it will be good after him. I'd be glad if the guy stayed, but confident if he leaves he will get replaced by a guy suitable to do a great job for LSU.

If he wants to leave, best of luck

I'd like to see a change

If the article is correct, then it sounds like the hangup is less about more money than it is details about length of payment should something happen to Miles.

LSU has had some of the best defenses in the nation under Chavis and that's playing a grueling SEC West schedule. Let me put it this way: lack of defense is NOT the reason LSU has lost most of their games.....

Dude, I hope he stays. Your program is mediocre with him, hate to see it with him gone.

Jesus MF-ing Ezekial Christ are you stupid.

Chavis defenses held your disgusting Skoal drool asses to 75 yards COMBINED in the second halves of the 2012 and 2014 LSU-bama games.

LSU also had statistically one of the top defenses in the nation and the SEC in 2014.

And even after losing underclassmen in the draft, we still dominated you pieces of skunk shite like nobody else did.

You may be the most moronic human on this planet.

Just think about all the players Chavis has coached up and how losing will affect recruiting

We may lose a few recruits this year, but it could work out in the long run. Chavis is a great coach but we could find someone who is a better recruiter.

No, it will be epic because of the 180 y'all will do on him (again)

Y'all are gonna look mighty foolish either way.

Um. Thank you !!!!

As far as I know, John Chavis is not in charge of LSU's offense and QBs and special teams!

I think had underclasasmen Beckham, Landry, Turner and Hill stayed, Jennings would have looked a lot better! Can you IMAGINE a backfield of Hill and Fournette and a WR corps of Landry, Beckham, Dural, Dupre and Smith ???

Or, how about NEXT YEAR - with Fournette, Williams, Guice and Brossette at RB, Smith, Stokes and Washington at TE, and Dupre, Quinn, Dural, Spears, Chark, and maybe Tyron Johnson at WR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
