I commend your ability to deflect and not acknowledge the giant ballet of spins you are performing.

Carry on.

Take off the purple and gold glasses. McCarron admitted he'd hurt his ribs in the Mississippi State game the week before the LSU match, and the Alabama offensive coordinator decided to attempt passes when the running game was averaging 6.6 yards per carry. Alabama's offensive playcalling was bad in that game, the defense was on the field for 40 minutes, and the team still found a way to win. Get over it.

Maybe LSU should have averaged more than 15 points in those two losses.
Scoring 15 points in this age is terrible.

Should have been enough to win.....despite "injuries".

But weren't you guys whining for a mulligan after 9-6?

Score more than 6 and you wouldn't have needed one.

LSU fans vis a vis Chavis sound like Tennessee fans vis a vis Chavis. The soft zone coverage can be really frustrating at times, it's true. But the defenses are always very good. As always, be careful what you wish for.

pretty much my stance through the entire situation

there's one nice plus in potentially losing Brick Haley, but yes, I acknowledge how easily LSU can downgrade the defense...as if we can afford to do that with Jennings, Cameron, and Bradly Peveto

You wouldn't have even been in those games without Chief. 17 and 13 ain't exactly gonna win a lot of games against Bama.

Yet, it should have been in 12 and 14

And was in Game of the Century

Eh, I can take him or leave him. When his defense is on, it's awesome but that prevent defense over the past three years has been horrible. I can live with it either way

I think most LSU fans would acknowledge the defense is not the main problem.

It definitely cost us games in 2012 and 2013. It also cost us a game yesterday. When you lose 6 games in three years on the final drive, you've got a problem.

When Chavis came to LSU, we had a bunch of Tennessee fans who came and posted their thoughts and they were spot on. They would take him back, but the really hated "third an Chavis" which we found out is very real.

When Notre Dame got the ball yesterday late in the 4th, every LSU fan knew exactly what was going to happen.

Since Chavis arrived at LSU, their average national ranking in third down defense has been 19th. On third and 10+, it's 7th.

You idiots have no clue what bad third down defense looks like

LSU fans clearly don't want him, unless he stays. He is then the most awesome defensive coordinator in country

steve is melting harder than any other LSU fan on this site. And the best part is he is devoting so much energy into convincing everyone of how little he supposedly cares.

Nah, stubbornness.

You were not deserving of a rematch either year, especially this year, LSU looked as good as a clear plastic sack of hammered dog shite.
