t is no mean task to contain TR to less than 90 yards and worse make him lose yards on a not infrequent basis with one on one tackling. It is an opportunistic defense that doesn't mind giving up passing yards if it can pick up an INT or two.

You held him to less than 170 yards...

Big12ARK defense in BDS - gave up 38 pts to Bama Offense (in regulation).

LSU defense in BDS - gave up 6 pts to Bama Offense (with an Overtime possession).

Bama's FG tries were from distances: 37, 44, 46, 49, 50, 52.

LSU's FG tries from distances: 19, 25, 30.

Yeah, that LSU defense is extremely soft compared to Big12ARK's defense.

It's pretty normal, when talking about RBs, to discuss how he impacted the running game. Trent was a nonfactor in the running game.. as was Eddie Lacy. He had a few really really nice runs, mostly in the first half. He got worn down.

Spencer Ware and Eddie Lacy both looked very very average. Trent Richardson and Ford both looked pretty damn good to me.

I mean, i am not saying they aren't good, I'm not saying they aren't one of the best D's in the country..

What the hell are you smoking or sniffin' dude? Oh wait, you're only 25 and haven't watched much football in your lifetime. Alabama's offense was averaging over 38 PPG and the LSU Defense holds the Number 2 team in the country to only 6 points! You're not old enough to know what good defense is. I've watched a hell of a lot more games than you and that was some of the best defense I've seen in years from both Alabama and LSU. Come back and give this thread a bump after LSU shuts down the hogs offense and let's see what you think then.

Bama's D is more systematic and suffocating. LSU's is more opportunistic and ball-hawking.

I'll go ahead and predict Wilson throws at least 2 INTs in this game.

Also, LSU's run D is #2 in the country, and has given up 100+ yards only twice. We have not given up 150 all year. Arkansas will be passing all game, and Wilson will make mistakes.

TR was not a non-factor. He was controlled to large extent but he did rush for just under 90 yards. Great player, just controlled most of the day by the LSU defense

LSU will beat Arkansas. Les will slow the pace of the game way down, just like he has all season. LSU will own time of possession. Our D will have fresh legs all day long. Spencer Ware will cram it straight down their throats all day long. Arkansas doesn't have the depth on D to stop him. Arkansas - don't even both watching film from the Bama game because it won't help you - you aint got that D. And don't even bother quoting the numbers from the West Virginia game. We jumped on top of them early and Chavis gave them everything underneath to slow them down and eat up more clock. If you look at the number fo times they threw the ball and their total passing yards, it comes out to about 3 yards an attempt.

Surely you cannot be this dumb that you cannot comprehend that he is a fricking Heisman candidate RB who has already rushed for more than 1000 yards and multiple 100 yard games and the LSU D contained him and the entire Bama Running game. The yardage was with reference to rushing of course.

On the other hand Bama D gave up THRICE its rushing average to LSU.
LSU was also the first and maybe only team to break 100 rushing on Bama.

All your dismal attempts at name calling notwithstanding
LSU has proven to have the better D than Bama.

but they are not in the same planet as bama's defense. I'm sorry they just aren't. Bama defense is downright scary. You can move the ball on LSU, they have not so strong points. Bama doesn't.

Really? After they held the gumps to 6 points in their own backyard. Troll

I don't know some of the defensive stats they were talking about yesterday were pretty insane. One of them was that LSU has more interceptions than teams have 20 yard+ passes against them.
