Aside from the fact that Florida State is dirtier than almost any team in college football, I'd like to see the rapist get what's coming to him.

I'm rooting for Auburn tonight. They don't have smug arse shite eating grin Cam and I like Tre Mason a lot. Have to send out the BCS the right way with an SEC champ

As a LSU fan why are you?

Well I never mentioned anything about the playoffs.. but I think most people would agree LSU is a team that has a chance to make them. I guess Florida has a shot too. I don't know. I haven't looked at y'all's schedule for next season. Do y'all have to play Georgia Southern again?

If Bowden was still there, I'd probably say the same thing. Now, they're just charmless thugs.

Auburn has always been like your aunt's yappy little dogs. Nobody likes them, and they really don't matter, but they're certainly annoying when you have to see them once a year.

This year, it's like the yappy little bastards followed you home, peeing on your stuff and trying to hump everything that holds still, seeking constant validation and treats. You know it's not really their fault, it's the lack of training they received at home, but you still roll your eyes and somehow refrain from kicking them in the ribs.

Anyway, I really want a strong finish for the SEC, particularly going into the playoff system, so I'm leaning towards rooting for AU. It would be a much easier decision if they could celebrate their wins with a little fricking graciousness.

I'm going back and forth. I will honestly enjoy watching either team lose. Auburn is more likeable this year than in 2010, though it would be fun to see the meltdown. On the flip side, FSU fans are already displaying Bama-level arrogance despite having won nothing except the second-weakest BCS conference in the country.

I'm hoping Foley will schedule a rematch like you guys did with UAB.

If you live in B10 country, the streak matters. It matters so much to me that I want auburn to win. But if FSU starts crushing them, I'll enjoy that too.

But if you could hear what I hear in Indianapolis, SEC matters more. These assholes are unbearable...especially the buckeye fans. The only tolerable people are many of the Notre Dame fans, because they know what great football looks like.

Got a ton of Pac 12 and Big 10 friends and they hate the SEC with a passion. For the only reason I care about the streak....but I won't be upset if it ends with Auburn.

It's hard to pull for Auburn knowing all the dumb fricking luck bullshite they pulled to reach this point. They're not the best team in the country or the second best - or even close. I'm over the SEC, SEC, SEC stuff.

It's a moot point anyway, as I think FSU will hannel its biz tonight anyway...

I'm a Bama fan, not an SEC fan. The only time I have pulled for the SEC teams was when they played teams I did not care for. ohio state for example.

Two minds here.

My mom and my dad had to very different thoughts regarding our rivals.

My mom was born and raised in Alabama. We're 5 generations of Bama fans, and anything good for Auburn is just... well, bad. For the universe, karma, etc. Every time AU wins, a puppy dies.

My dad, on the other hand, was born in Arkansas, raised in Tennessee, went to college in Mississippi, and lived in Alabama and now lives in Texas. To him, it's all about keeping it in the following:
At Alabama
In the State of Alabama
In the SEC (preferably one of the states he grew up in)
In the South

More than anything, he's anti-yankee and anti-west coast having the title. If Alabama can't win it, I know he'll be pulling for Auburn.

Me? I cheer for the good AU fans for AU to win, and for the horrible AU Fans I want AU to lose. That said, as I actually have AU fans for friends but not really any FSU fans, my friendship trumps rivalry and I'll be cheering for Auburn to win - though I won't lose any sleep if FSU beats them either.

As for the SEC streak - I know my Dad absolutely loves it. I'm kinda meh, though it means more to me because Alabama is responsible for 3 of those, than I imagine other fans of teams who really had no impact.

And with that, I kinda view the SEC as a large group of friends who mess with each other, but woe to those who try and start crap from the outside. The SEC chant wasn't developed as some sort of need to latch onto the accomplishments of others (well, for some people at least), but rather the "Us vs Them" view of the South. We make fun of each other's states and schools, but the rest of the country lumps us all together. While Texas and Missouri are new to it (and not really lumped in with us in the stereotypes), we've all been there for it. In Alabama, there's arguments over which team has the most rednecks, the "worst" school, etc - I doubt people from out west or up north view either school in a different light than the other.

So...

Yeah, I'm cheering for Auburn.

Sorry, long winded. Too much coffee this morning.

I graduated from the University of Alabama, not the University of the SEC; I can't think of any positives for Bama if the Barn wins this one. OTOH, I'm not excited about pulling for the Semenholes either.

I suppose my first option to pull for is a 7.4 earthquake that will open up a biblical crack in the ground and swallow the Rose Bowl whole.

WAR DAMN EAGLE

I already have to listen to OU/Big 12 fans talk shite about our conference I don't need to hear it from all the FSU sidewalkers that will pop up if they win.
