In this scenario we need a eastern ally to put the pressure on. Georgia?

I don't remember seeing anything about it until last year. Maybe a little in 2010 but a lot of that seemed to be directed at Cam.

No. Could easily see Malzahn staying at Auburn for at least 15 more years. I have a hard time believing he won't win a national championship during that time.

That would make the most sense but for some reason I can't help but see Alabama as the Soviet Union. I mean, Saban was short, Stalin was short. The Red. The Bear/Lenin personality cult.

Georgia is more like Poland.

While he can probably win a title, Auburn is a second tier program (along with UGA and A&M - this is where UT used to be) he should jump at a top tier offer like say Florida if they offer in December.

Top Tier (schools essentially a good coach from being nationally elite every year and that will win 10 at least every 5 years even with a bad coach):

Florida,LSU, Bama

Second Tier:
UGA, TAMU, Auburn
Third Tier:
UT, Ole Miss, Arky, Mizzou
4th- MSU, UK, Vandy

I thought this was Gus's first year as head coach of the barn, second 2009 and 2011 say how do you do. Not to mention the shite is a gimmick a very good gimmick embrace it Navy and GT do.

It was, but this will be the fifth year that the SEC has seen his O. The point can't really be that hard to figure out, can it?

I'm sorry I forgot Gus was winning SEC championships at Arkansas, you barn fans are hilarious thinking Gus has found a new way to slice bread, and again 2009 as well as 2011 say hello.

You mean 2009 where Auburn in their first year ever in Gus Malzahn's system was top 20 in both total offense and PPG despite having Chris Todd at QB?

Or do you mean 2011 a year in which we lost our QB, top 2 WRs, HBack/TE and 4/5 OL? AKA, 8/11 starters on offense

You must have a bad memory. 2009 does say hello. Auburn ,depth wise was razor thin, was ahead of a bama team for 58:30. Three pick plays later bama won the game.

How many wins in conference did you Aubies have that year total?

That's kind of the point I was making. An Auburn team, that wasn't very talent deep, played toe-to-toe with bama the entire game. Auburn actually put up better numbers on O than bama. Feel free to continue making my point for me though.

Auburn was thin in terms of depth this year except for RB and won the SEC so what is your point. My point is that in my opinion Gus runs that hybrid Navy offense because he has never had the talent to run a pro style offense in college.

Please explain to us how AU and Navy/GT run the same offense.

You just showed me your football knowledge in that single post. Auburn rotated 9-10 guys on the DL during every game. Auburn was deep, and is still deep, on the OL. Auburn was thin at LB and DB last season.

Gus' O looks nothing like Navy or GT's O. (if you want to try and compare Gus' O to any other team, Clemson is the only right answer)

Again, you further showed you don't have a clue what you are talking about. I should have known that when you brought up 2009 to try and make a point..... A game that a not very good Auburn team played toe-to-toe with bama.

It was a dig on gus's unorthodox offensive philosophy nothing more, but I do think he took some basketball (HUNH) and arena league (speed sweep position)philosophies and applied them to his read option attack which is quite impressive but still a gimmick.

Gus actually runs his offense because he chooses to and it runs even better with top talent.

Okay two positions and running a HUNH scheme a coach tends to tire out his defensive players quickly because of the three and outs.

Sorry to break it to you but you weren't that good last year and won the conference and came with in a Kelvin Benjamin rebound of winning a NC
