teams don't drug test themselves, typically.
What happens is an outside company has a database with a program that randomly selects teams to do a drug test. All sports from high school and colleges are in this database and it picks them at random. Then they'll give that team/school 2 weeks notice that they will test them.
My roommate did work with the company that does this and Ole Miss got selected back in January or February of this year.
