Actually I don't really care. I don't think he comes here anyway although this gives us a chance I guess.

God, I hope so. We just keep reminding ourselves of other USP players visiting Bama and how it usually goes.

Woodall, Townsend, Griffen, etc.

You know it's a ploy to build his annoucement up. The folks in Batesville will never allow Alabama to snag top players again.

Justin Woodall went to Lafayette High.

Let's hope Saban has decided he's gotten enough payback for the Massie thing.

shite...thats right.

I was just looking at an old Scout article about Jermaine Griffen and it said Woodall was his host.

We're saving that for the 2012 class with Nick James and Quay Evans. Alabama has far better success landing kids from south Mississippi. Plus, they're prefect fits for the 3-4.

I don't see kids from Lafayette ever wanting to play for Ole Miss. Good thing the school doesn't produce a lot of talent.

Lafayette Co. pretty much hates all things Oxford.

I think the biggest reason Alabama got Woodall was because of his cousin Jeffery Dukes, who was also from Oxford. He was a pretty good DB for Alabama in 2005-06.

Kids from Lafayette won't play for Ole Miss. It's just part of the social-cultural dynamic down here.

I just wish Tuscaloosa County produced talent as consistently as Oxford/Batesville does. We have a metro area of 190,000 but only have a SEC caliber player every other year or so. Hell, the guy we signed from Tuscaloosa this year was a transfer from North Carolina.

When he sees Bryant Denny he is going to wonder what he was thinking wanting to stay in Mississippi.

The same could be said when comparing Alabama's facilities with South Carolina, realtive to Jadaveon Clowney, but the home town pull is tough to overcome.

This. People need to stop assuming that recruits think they way they do as fans. I'd venture to guess that a lot of recruits don't give a frick about stadium size, campus life, and all of that shite. Of course there are plenty who do, but there are also more than enough who don't.

Nick Brassell and his family are from Batesville which is a whopping half-hour from Oxford. That's definitely a huge draw for all the South Panola kids.
