Nick Saban's quick tips to keep out of jail

1. Be good at football
2. Play at Alabama
3. Don't talk about getting paid

Of course he has motive to down play this shite. Of course he's trying too. That doesn't mean what he said is without merit. The OT was gone quick because sexual crimes get treated different now a days. Did the fact that he wasn't very good make the decision to cut him loose easier? Obviously. Was the entire reason he was gone because he sucked. No. It looks like we need the depth.

You want to paint that picture because it makes you feel superior when you look at Les with the HB situation. Otherwise I don't know why you would be so concerned with how Saban handles his player discipline.

bullshite. Miles kicked an NFL defensive MVP candidate off the team for smoking weed, something a good chunk of your fanbase is currently bemoaning the outdated laws on.

Was that his first offense? Was he facing ncaa suspension for failed test anyway? Let's not have revisionist history and act like Miles is known for being some great disciplinarian.

While we are at it, let's not act like LSU fans would be calling for LF7 to be suspended or kicked off team if he was in Robinson's shoes. You'd be all about wait and see how the case plays out.

That's irrelevant. Everyone's tune changes when it involves a key player on their favorite team.

You get dumber every time you post something about Alabama football. Maybe look into due process.

No it's not irrelevant. It just proves the hypocrisy 99% of us display on this site. There is nothing wrong with waiting to punish in this case. The team isn't doing any activities and facts have yet to come out. When they do the punishment will be handed down. It is freaking May. if it was September Saban would be forced to sit him until the facts came out. He doesn't have to do that in May. So shut up and quit acting like you're morally superior.

That's 100% the point. LF could eat a baby on live TV and I would be most worried about how many carbs were in that baby. What I wouldn't do is try to prop my coach up as some kind of benevolent father figure handing out life advice when he came out and said "nothing good happens around babies, LF broke that rule."

so, just to be clear, you're stance on this is to admit that everyone blasting these kids, Saban's handling, and Bama are hypocrites?

I am morally superior. Just because I'm a fan of a school that has the same issues doesn't mean I can't criticize Saban on being an idiot

Tell us exactly what Saban should do right now. The players are all on break for a couple of weeks. Does he owe it to you and me to announce a suspension? From what? There are literally no team activities happening right now. Do you really need a public, symbolic gesture from Nick Saban? Would that comfort you? Of course not. You want the kids behind bars and immediately released from the school and program. You hate due process, and you hate America, because you hate Alabama football.

Link to Bama fans doing this?

What did he say that was inaccurate? We've pointed out that what Saban is saying is correct. Poor choices were made and could have been avoided. That's, essentially, his point. That's not the sum total of what he has (or even, will) say on this matter. That's simply a singular point he was making. And he's not wrong.

1) be home after midnight and this doesn't happen
2) don't have a gun on you and this doesn't happen

He's saying the players made poor choices that could have been avoided.

However, SOME LSU fans, ever the spurned lover, feel the need to negatively dissect every statement the man makes as some twisted way to cope with A) losing him, B) losing to him, and C) watching another team in Division rattle off 4 of 7 titles.

If he was taking this approach at South Carolina and hadn't had much success, this wouldn't be something you white knights cared so much about. It is all filtered through "how does this impact my team".

I don't need anything from Nick Saban. I've made it very clear I think Cam Robinson plays against LSU this year, so it doesn't really matter to me what he does to him in the mean time.

Why do you care so much what I think about his comments? I'm just calling a spade a spade. It's coach speak. It just so happens to piss yall off a lot when anyone questions lord saban's motives and I got time to kill on a friday.

I don't care about you saying something mean. That's the Internet. I think that's why Al Gore invented it.

I'm just saying he wasn't inaccurate in what he said and I'm not sure where you think he was excuse making for these kids.

And I'm pretty sure some of us fans on this site killing time on a Friday care more about arguing the situation than Saban does. He's likely not putting too much energy into it right now.
