They made criminal choices. If they weren't CFB big shots this would have been handled already and they would be felons

yep, but that's too rational for most to comprehend. They'd rather offer up a skewed and passive aggressive commentary on the matter.

Kudos to you for a little objectivity and rational view of the situation.

They wouldn't have had they not been out past midnight with firearms - which is exactly what Saban cautioned against in the OP's quote.

Will the Alabama football team be holding a silent gun auction open to the public?

i'm sure situations like this is always brought up by coaches at any level of college athletics. being a former college athlete, I can tell you without question you have at least one meeting every semester from the athletic department's ncaa regulations and ethics team along with a speech from your coach on how to stay out of trouble off the field that could damage you and the university.

His just shows the hate that the L5U fan base has for Saban and all things Bama. Sorry for your jelly. Get ready for #6.

Agree. And Saban is not wrong in saying that others on the team can and should learn from the mistakes these two made.

They made mistakes and once the full facts of the case come out if those mistakes are proven to be at the level some are purporting, then they should and will receive punishment. If the facts aren't to that level (say the gun wasn't actually stolen, the amount of pot is residue vs a larger quantity, etc) then they'll receive a lesser punishment and then many on this site and elsewhere will be up on their moral high horse making claims like yours.
