Jordan Jefferson spent half the season suspended for what eventually became a misdemeanor. You couldn't pick a worse example, considering these two haven't even been suspended yet and may never be.

Drop the horse shite. He's posturing to mitigate the eventual bad PR that's going to result from him not disciplining a starter in any meaningful way for the second year in a row. If you're too naive to see that then I feel sorry for you in today's world.

How about its bad when people choose to break a law. They decide they would go buy drugs first. They also chose the time it was best to go buy drugs. They also made the choice that guns were needed for safety.

It wasn't like they were around a gun at some point and they thought to themselves "hey Hootie, let's go buy some weed in Monroe...Good idea Gun"

And we don't know yet if this will be a felony, misdemeanor, or charges dropped. You're on your high horse bc he hasn't been suspended yet, but the situation has more resolution needed before he (Saban) has to act. He doesn't have to act on your timeline.

No. My point is you don't know if he is going to discipline him or not at this point. If he doesn't discipline him, then hop back on that high horse bruh. If he does discipline him, I am certain you won't be here to admit you were wrong.

Maybe Saban should take it to a team vote. Lsu fans have no problem with that. (And before you start the "not comparable situation" nonsense, know that I am not saying the situations are comparable. I am saying your fans are ill equipped to bitch about discipline habits of other coaches, regardless of situation)

bullshite. Miles kicked an NFL defensive MVP candidate off the team for smoking weed, something a good chunk of your fanbase is currently bemoaning the outdated laws on.

Every time there has been a legal issue, the player has been suspended indefinitely until it's sorted out. The fact that Saban isn't even suspending them for a felony, even if it's eventually going to be a misdemeanor, is damning. He simply doesn't take discipline seriously unless the player was on the way out the door already. Only bama fans believe otherwise.

How is stating a fact crying about it? I fully expect CR to be at LT by the time LSU plays Bama. It literally will have no bearing on our game. Some of you just refuse to put down the kool-aid and it's hilarious to watch you do mental backflips over it.

The team is on a three week break before Summer starts. There are no activities to suspend him from. Why does he have to officially suspend them to the media to make you happy?

No one is back flipping. People can interrupt quotes any way that want. Your hate for Saban leads you to be hyper critical of his comments. That doesn't mean your opinion on his quotes are facts. Far from it. You're in this thread crying that Saban won't do anything to punish a good player, despite the fact that this practically just happened and punishment hasn't been handed down yet.

This is hilariously dumb, specifically because you used literally. You're right, I'm sure our top 10 pick left tackle will have zero bearing on our football game. That's a good call

Saban, and those defending him in this instance are most certainly back flipping, and it couldn't be more clear.

Bama brings in the #1 JUCO OT in the spring, he "struggles" and lands at about fourth on the depth chart. He fails one drug test and is kicked off the team.

Starting left tackle is caught actually smoking weed and also charged with a felony. "Well, uh, ya know, sometimes discipline and punishment aren't the same thing." Not even suspended.

A week apart, and they even play the same position.

What part of what I said was hard for you to understand? I believe he will play in that game no matter what the punishment is, because it's late in the season. That "liters" means his punishment won't affect the outcome.

Your boy was lecturing to us earlier in the thread about being honest, well some of you need to just be honest and admit the man only cares about winning, not teaching life lessons to his "kids".

Link? I heard he got too mettenberger with a girl (in additional to being buried on the depth chart)

The OT was kicked for sexual assault, allegedly. Saban's comments in the OP are totally legit and good advice for young people. This thread is fun because you L5U fans can't see Saban through any light other than he is the devil and everything he says and does is completely self serving and bad. You talk about people backing Saban's words and actions with out question while not realizing that you do the exact same thing on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Which only further proves the point. Sexual assault cases are never cut and dry. Where's the "waiting to gather facts" on that one? What if the allegation is bogus? Admit it, he got kicked off because he wasn't hacking it and there was an easy out.

Pretty lazy argument on your part. I have no personal hatred for Nick Saban and think he's the best football coach in the game. I didn't know jack shite about college football when he was coaching LSU, and I have no memories of his time here. I would make the exact same comments about Bert with a fat joke thrown in if he were pulling this shite. His comments are spin, no different than a politician in a debate. He has a clear motive to play this whole thing down and that's exactly what he's trying to do. I'm simply poking fun at all those who are eating it up hook line and sinker.
