wait there was a little debbie question?
Yes, he was asked if when his grandchild gets bigger if they would have access to his little debbie stash.
He was defensive, took exception to his love affair with little debbies and questioned why he gets grief over it as anyone who walks by the cookie jar takes a cookie out of the jar, it isn't just him.
I don't know if it was dry humor/sarcasm but it was funny none the less.

He should have stuck with the idea that it doesn't teach anything. No need to say they never amounted to anything in life. It's just unnecessary.
This ain't the first time he's said something unncessary and it won't be the last. Saban's a dick and is very blunt in settings like this.

Why is he wasting his time with the kid from UGA if he knows he won't be successful?
Cam and the Honey Badger seem to be doing fairly well after being kicked off a team.

The point that I got from that part was that he doesn't believe kicking kids off of a team is the right course of action outside of a last resort because its like giving up on them. He likened it to kicking someone out of your family.

Yep, Nick threw us ranters under the bus with that one.

OP, you did forget that he wishes that he had stayed at some places instead of following "aspirations" that didn't work out.

He said he wised he had stayed at one program and built it into a solid program instead of moving around following aspirations and accolades that he was unhappy with.
He wished he never left Michigan St.

Keep telling yourself that. I just don't understand why he mentioned that part at all. It made no sense to. He could have just said what he did next, that he was happy where he was at.

I am just glad that the leader of Alabama's football team is not a criminal. Talk to me when Jake Coker gets in legal trouble by stealing from his teammates and then continues to break the law.

Because he's in the twilight of his career and if he had any regrets it was how many different jobs he had instead of being another JoePa (pre-scandal) or Bobby Bowden type that is known as the man who built those programs.
He is "just another coach" at Bama and LSU.

Do you seriously believe that Jacob Coker is the leader of Alabama's football team? He just got to campus a few weeks ago

The quarterback becomes the de facto leader of the team. He is the most recognizable player, and aside from head coach. he is the face of the program. I'm just glad that he will represent the University of Alabama with class just like AJ did. AJ may not have been the most likable guy, but he never did anything off the field that brought shame on himself and the university. Can you say the same about the face of your program, Nick Marshall?

Maybe early on, but he's entering year 8 at Alabama. He's set roots in Tuscaloosa at this point. By the time he retires he will likely have the second longest tenure at Alabama.

Mathieu got kicked out school for several failed drug tests. University policy. Don't act like Les kicked the Pine Weasel off the team. That's funny.

UA is the most successful college football program of the modern era. IDGAS who else roots for Alabama. I do, however, care about how the player face of the program represents my university. What about you?
