First off, Saban sures seems man enough to shutdown UT's punk arse. I don't see where Butch did anything to strike fear into him.
Secondly, you guys make it sound like Saban has the power to dictate to the rules committee what they should and shouldn't vote on. I know that Forbes magazine rated him the most powerful coach in college football and all, but let's step on back into reality. Some of you make him out to be the godfather or something. I seriously think some of you actually picture him like this:

No, but LSU sure in the hell knows how to defend against it better. Bama has a recent history for struggling against the HUNH. LSU not so much. Saban let that Auburn gimmick offense make him look straight up stupid.

What offenses were 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2013 Ole Miss running? They didn't have a problem moving the ball on LSU. Using 2011 results is stupid. The 2011 defense was well above your average LSU defense, and that level of play will be rare. Chavis doesn't have a great answer for stopping the run apparently.

Just like any other offensive philosophy every version is different. I like the variety because it makes the SEC more interesting. A&M runs air raid, Bama's pistol is dangerous, LSU's pro set, etc.

He has a better one than Saban. LSU had no problem beating AU this season and containing A&M. Bama not so much. The same goes for the 2012 season against A&M.
