Wanna talk embarrassment on a big stage?

Chew on this:

3 peat on the line and only one win away from the SEC Championship....

But neither of those things happen.. Instead you lose as time expires in the most embarrassing finish ever in a football game, and it was to your biggest rival in primetime.

2008 UF was better than most and should be top 3. Maybe behind 2011 Bama and behind Miami

We crossed the fifty more than once in both of those game and weren't shut out in either.

Also, can you really say "embarrassment" and "3 peat on the line" in the same sentence? You do realize Bama won 3 out of 5 BCSNCG titles, right? Nothing embarrassing about not making it 4 out of 5.

This is wonderfully entertaining. If you're supposed to be one of the best teams in school history, you don't let anybody - much less the "2nd best team in the nation" embarrass your arse on the biggest stage imaginable. I don't care if 2011 LSU played 2011 Bama 14 times in the same season. Bama wasn't getting beat by 21 that year.

Bobby bowden himself said it was nearly impossible to beat the same team twice in the same year in college football. look what happened to his team in their rematch NC.

Did his team get shutout? Did they cross the 50 more than once?

It is tough to beat same team twice, but not impossible. Bama beat Florida twice in 1999. First was close and Bama destroyed them in the rematch in SECCG.

Bama was one of top two teams that year and deserved in BCSNCG. They proved to be the best team by what they did in that game.

Alabama and LSU have both done it. Alabama beat Florida 40-39 in the '99 regular season and then beat them again, 34-7 in the SEC Championship Game.

LSU beat Georgia twice in 2003.

Auburn beat Tennessee twice in 2004 and South Carolina twice in 2010.

It's not impossible just because Bobby Bowden failed epically in the Sugar Bowl.

Do you get less than a loss for crossing midfield?
I hope Bama fans aren't into moral victories now.

Let me try.......Alabama got embarrassed with a 3-peat on the line. Not that hard pal. Try it.

It depends on what your definition of embarrassed is. We out gained Auburn in the game, we were up 28-21 in the 4th quarter, had three different opportunities to put the game away in the 4th quarter, and lost in one of the most bizarre and miraculous final plays in the history of college football.

If that's your definition of embarrassed then one could only describe LSU's performance on 1/9 as a program killer.

Can't get any lower than dickriding Auburn you must be very hurt.

Just be glad Auburn finished the season like they should've started and kept going through it with....a loss. You wouldn't hear the end of it from the tree worshippers.

I really don't see how 2008 UF is that low. You look at the schedule and results, the ranking just doesn't make much sense. I love the '06 team, but no way you can possibly put them ahead of '08.

Averaged 44 points a game and only gave up 12 against the #2 SOS, you will be hard pressed to find a team on this list that can match those credentials.

Get back to me when LSU has won back to back championships, been in the top 10 for more consecutive weeks than any other program, has won double digit games in 6 consecutive seasons, all while leading all college teams with first round picks over that stretch.

Bama has nothing to be embarrassed about.

The 2001 Miami squad will likely never be equaled. They 17 future 1st round picks, 38 total future draft picks, 14 future NFL pro-browlers and 43 total combined pro-bowls.

Their three deep at RB was Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee and Frank Gore. That's obscene

IMO, the Georgia game's finish was waaaaay more incredible and unlikely than the Iron Bowl finish

I swear LSU fans bring up that game significantly more than Auburn fans do

And that was with Larry Coker as the coach. Can you imagine Saban or Spurrier with that team?

That's because they have difficulty remembering the last time they beat us in a meaningful game, so they have to find something to dickride.

Isn't that AJ and Nick in the locker-room after beating LSU last year?
After Nick jumped into his arms I knew something was up.
