It's no different than labeling someone a bust because of injury IMO. While it may not be exactly fair it's the truth. When a player comes in and underperforms, for any reason, they are a bust. That's just the way I view it.
So you make no intellectual distinction between someone who just isn't a good pro and someone who is a victim of circumstances? Harsh. I get both are equally useless to their team if they're not on the field, but you might as well call any Pro Bowler who misses a season due to injury a temporary "bust." The difference between actual busts and injured/misused players is that the injured/misused players can actually produce in the future if the problem is fixed.

When he played the NFL was a run first league. Stats not that great. And I get he was injured. But according to the bust standards, he was a bust.

NFL Bust
What are the guidelines used to determine a player being called a Bust?
1. Must have matriculated (ostensibly) at the University of Alabumma.

Wasn't the "Boz" a bust? If so, how did Bo getting tackled by him, (even though Bo scored) equate to accomplishing something special?

I think you dont understand what the bust standards are... he and Oakland knew he would get limited play time and carries... he was not intended to come and be the premier back he was intended to be the guy that came in and fricked shite up
there is no way a bust would be considered by almost everyone except you and UGA fans as tGOAT of athletes

How can Bosworth be a bust? He had good stats got injured then left the game after two years.

I think he was great. That's why I used Bo for my example.

That's just what I've always read about him.
A good college player, but not so much in the Pros.

Brian Bosworth was number six on espn all time bust. But when health he was good. Only played like two years.

Because his injuries came from steroid-pumped conditioning. Entirely on him.

no youre right but the difference between him and Bo is that he hyped himself up called out players then didnt amount to anything
when Boz entered the draft he was the highest paid rookie in not only seattle but also the entire league at the time big difference in "EXPECTATIONS" from coaches and fans

I am going to assume you were talking about first round players. For a first round player, I think a reasonable expectation for a rookie season is that he should be a starter by the end of the year. The learning curve from college football to the NFL is pretty steep and takes some time. By year 2, they should be a full time starter and starting to separate themselves from others in their draft class. By years 3 and 4, they should be someone the opposing coaches have to take into account on every play and be challenging for a place in the top 10 players at their position. The team they play for should choose to exercise their 5th year option on them.
This is a really good description of the expectations of a first rounder.

I'm not doubting Bo's greatness, because he was a bad mofo. I even had some of his Raiders shoes. But, him stiff arming a notoriously bad tackler like Sanders is not a good example.

Liked I said and was mocked for earlier. I have met him. Super guy. He wouldn't know me if I saw him today. But when you talk to him you would think you are his best friend. One of the best athletes ever. But, going by standards used for bust, he would be a bust.
