You don't want any visiting fans there, apparently.

Might be so. The question was asked where the obstructed seats were, I showed where is all.

I remember my first visit to Neyland. I was excited, and I couldn't wait to get there.

And then I saw my seat. And there I sat, scrunched in tight, with my knees bumping up against the back of the man in front of me. And with someone's knees in my back.

I remember thinking that all I needed to complete the experience was a hair shirt.

the only place where this is a huge issue at Neyland is in the endzone uppers in the south endzone. Unfortunately for you, and others like you, this is where the majority of visiting fans sit.

Exactly my point. I won't ever make the mistake of buying visiting seat tickets at Neyland again. I didn't know any better at the time.

Somebody from the fattest state in America commenting on another team's fanbase?

Those are MSU fans. UT fans are among the largest in America.

FIFY, and don't try to pawn your fatness off on MSU, your whole state is fat.

New renovation plan for Neyland Stadium released

I call B. S. on this post.

The OP posted a rendered image of new seats with backs, yet he also said that the stadium is set to increase capacity.

Unpossible. Everybody knows that Neyland Stadium just makes seats narrower to increase capacity. that's what they've been doing for decades.

Quietest 100k you will ever see.

This. Neyland is a cool venue. It feels cramped, like it ahould be chaotic. It feels big, like it should be overwhelming, but it's not. The fans are quiet as church mouses. It's really bizare. I've been to games in Vaught-Hemingway that were much louder and roudier despite it basically being a high school stadium.

Tennessee fans are the most hospitable, respectful, and courteous fans in the SEC, but they're also the quietest for a crowd their size.

Listen guys, when the Vols are not good, the crowd in mediocre. When we are good, and there is a big game, there is no louder/better venue in the country.

This has been confirmed by numerous no biased media members.

Well, if they're ever "good" again before I die, then maybe I will get to test that hypothesis. I'd love to go back.

Well, we won 9 games last year(as many as LSU) and are picked to be pretty damn good this year. You shouldn't have to wait long. Also, the Strip is being completely renovated, which is gonna be great. Long time coming

Hopefully i'll he able to afford to make a trip of it next time the Tigers travel to Knoxville. My Tiger Band trip there was the best one I took my whole 4 years.

It's a crime that UT and LSU don't play more often. One my favorite teams to play. Just one of the reasons I'm for a 9 game SEC schedule

OU game this fall reminded me of the 1998 Florida game.

It was deafening from start to finish.

Read the comments from their coaches, players and fans.

Players and coaches said it effected them it was so loud early till they could get used to it.

The fans said it was loudest environment by far.

Same thing for Cal fans and coaches in 06.

We should be more consistent. But our fanbase is a fickle one.

I am sure LSU stadium was quiet a couple years ago when you were getting beat down by Miss St.

It all just depends.

My UGA buddy has gone to the last 2 TN-UGA games in Knoxville and can't stop talking about how crazy the crowd was.

We have sucked for a decade and still average over 100K per game. Our attendance has been rising consistently for years, which goes against the trend nowadays. I don't know where you're coming from on this.

Actually, according to the NCAA attendance numbers , you've averaged 97,199 from 08-14. You exceeded 100K on average once- 2008. This also doesn't take into the account the amount of times Neyland stadium was shown to be empty during the middle of the 3rd quarter when fans hit the exits.

You guys aren't as loyal as you think.

Tennessee returns large portion of allotment tickets
