Lol no

It doesn't only happen to UTjr. It happens to every team, you only remember it when it happens to Tennessee. Ole Miss and Mizzou fans get shite over their "high school stadiums", for example.

Any other SEC fanbase posts this: mostly upvotes, comments like "that looks cool" and "excited to play there in a year or two"

UT posts this: mostly downvotes, "frick UT," "where do the players rape women at," "hope the fatasses can fit in the seats" etc.

They are jealous of our orange, our women, our stadium and our 14 inch hawgs, m8.

Yeah.

Although the "stereotype" for your program's stadium is correct...

It's literally inside an industrial park.

...and smells like it too.

Probably because those stadium renderings look terrible.

This looks so familiar. Where have I seen this before?

Oh yeah...

But overall, it looks like a great renovation job! Glad to see that UT is thinking outside the box.

These were just released in a survey by UT to the fans. They haven't released official renovation plans yet.

I'm so glad they kept the stadium's traditional gray, concrete block motif. The prison architecture look is complimented by the team's uniform color.

I wonder where LSU got the 100k + capacity idea...

Oh, the joys of an on campus stadium.

Not that USCjr fans would know anything about that.

We have one of the largest stadiums in America right in the heart of campus. You guys have to uber to the other side of Columbia just to reach the parking lot entrance. I'll take our grand setting and scenery

I wish we would steal the "double the fun" 70's Astrodome trons LSU has for our design.

Give the Mad Hatter a cowboy hat and all that's missing is the roof.

Love ya purple and gold!

Thanks! It will be interesting to see how many suites Tennessee will be adding. Neyland Stadium currently has 120 suites, good for fourth behind Alabama's BDS with 159, LSU's Tiger Stadium with 136, and Arkansas' Reynolds Razorback Stadium with 132. And just ahead of Texas A&M's Kyle Field with 114.

In terms of club seating...

This site
says Neyland has 422 outdoor club seats in the West Club. According to Facility Rentals Neyland Stadium also has 450 seats in the East Club, 400 in the Tennessee Terrace, and 75 in the Lindsey Nelson Stadium MVP Club Room. All told, 1,347 club type seats.

I know Tiger Stadium has nearly 7,000 club seats (mostly outdoor, with some indoor), so that number is probably out of reach.

Edit: Forgot about Arkansas. RRS is also set to expand, so Arky's numbers will increase. RRS currently has 8,900 club seats, most in the SEC

When it comes to stadium size no doubt. Neyland is the OG of 100k+ in the SEC. Did it over a decade before any other schools that are just now thumping their chest. Also I believe UT lowered their capacity a decade ago to be where it's at. Iirc Neylands record is up past 107k...wanna say UF game somewhere in the '01-'04 range?? That's a decade before SEC schools that are climaxing about hitting the 100k mark as if it is "special."

Neyland is in a class with really only the Big House. (and Beaver Stadium can be added only for capacity but the stadium just isn't revered as much across the board imo). The simple fact that 3 schools did this so long before anyone else (before 2000) closes the door on being able to enter their ranks here. Imo no true CFB purist can deny this without looking like a homer.

Neyland is Grandpa just sitting there in his recliner hearing the boasting almost 2 decades later thinking "been there done that son," and getting back to his nap unimpressed.

If we were SC we would have 3 SEC East titles in that case.
