Agreed. A couple hundred million is paying for old mistakes.

We'll see... now's the time to move on this if you're TAMU. There's no doubt this is the program's peak (combining top 10 team, heisman finalist, new conference, beat #1 team, etc.).

my only question is if it's sustainable.

Speaking of dumps, how is that cute little Arkiesaw stadium that yall rarely play in?

The one in Little Rock? It will not be utilized much longer and it is still nicer than Kyle. Plus it does not smell like shite and there are no bat turds in the nachos.

TAMU is spending ~$500mm on this. It will be first class.

I thought we were having a serious conversation here. TAMU & first class in the same line? Have you been on campus?

Alabama's population supports two programs that both have 85K seat stadiums, are both top 10 in revenue and profit.

Simply amazing when you think about it.

But both schools have large metro areas within a 4 hour drive in every direction.

That stadium over in West Georgia has been looking pretty empty lately....what was the over/under on attendance for the Barners last weekend? Did they get 50K for that stellar win over Alabama A&M?

Anyone? Beuller?

Right. That's what makes Alabama different than Texas. There are NO large metro areas within 4 hours of College Station. NONE.

Quit fricking around and answer my one serious questions about the stands. I was only joking cause you said 87 attended games with capacities of 83. I know y'all can fill it up...

I agree with you about that. I wish it would be one giant wall, or only two decks. I wish they'd do away with the old structure.

Yeah, Bama had a lot of empty seats in the corner of their student section in the upper deck.

Surely they will, right? I mean if tearing them down and rebuilding the 3 straight decks make zero sense other than that's how they were.

I want y'all to have a nice place so that after 2020 I can visit every other year and do 3 things:

1) Watch coach Gruden's dynasty arse rape the Ags...
2) Tell my kids this is the place that was so low in academic standards they gave me a PhD...
3) Have a nice place to sit with no shite smell and no bat turd nachos...

alot of the students cram themselves into the lower bowl section of Bryant Denny. They dont want to watch the game from the upper deck / lower bowl is more fun(party atmosphere).

I watched the ATM game form the student section and you couldnt walk down to entrance to the concourse. More corwded than I have ever seen it.

This is mis-managed by the athletic department. It is a fire-safety hazard in the lower bowl / it is lost revenue from people willing to pay face value. And it just looks stupid.

I say take the upper deck student section away altogether. Give the students a little bit more room in the lower bowl.

Then you piss off the big money donors that are willing to give thousands just for football tickets.
