They just don't have the fan support like most SEC schools. Surprising given the amount of students and the fact they are in Texas.

Sold out every home game this year... You're right about 'fan support' if you mean t-shirt fans. t.u. has always been the popular choice for people with no skin in the game, but if A&M continues to improve coupled with the additional exposure we get in the SEC, that will change.

What is t.u.? And is that a racial joke?

A&M has averaged 87K in a 83k stadium this decade.

let's be real here... college football probably can't support two 90,000+ stadiums in the state of texas.
As good as UTs been over the last decade, they still struggle to put people in the stands... A&M will do the same.

They are following the Jerrah Jones model on capacity.
Have a 90K seat stadium but allow space for 10K in SRO. Then say "hey we have 100K seat stadium."
Still short of places like Braynt Denny that actually have seats for 102K.

You failed economics, didn't you?

Actually it has less to do with that and more to do with preferring to add suites etc in lieu of just seats. Fan support is fine. What you don't want is to overbuild and have empty seats.
And it will be able to go to 100k+. They modeled certain parts after Cowboys stadium. Permanent seating is rumored to be 95k with areas that you can buy passes to that push it to 102k.
Also, it will be easy to add on:
The seating capacity of this deck is approximately 12,000 with the future potential of an additional 7,000 seats.

Fuzzy math my friend. And for real, why build the east/west stands straight as they are in the rendering? That just seems anti-progressive.

Let's be real here. Texas has a population of 25,674,681.
Alabama supports an 80,000 seat staudium and a 100,000 seat stadium with 4,802,740 people.

No they don't. I live in Austin - they fill that thing even with their awful schedule.

Speaking of dumps, how is that cute little Arkiesaw stadium that yall rarely play in?
TAMU is spending ~$500mm on this. It will be first class.

Primus pig is just pissed that his team is taking a nose dive straight into the sea of mediocrity while the Aggies are wrecking shop and improving in all aspects of the CFB game.
