great move by ACC, everyone giving Swofford a bunch of shite ought to shut the hell up, he's done everything he possibly could to keep the ACC together

great move by ACC,

Everyone just needs to go back to 12 with a CCG. This 10, 12, 14, 15 crap makes no sense.
Send A&M and MU back to the Big 12 and move on.

They merely hit the pause button. Unsure which likely hood though.

Interesting. I can see why UNC/Duke wanted this. Tobacco road schools have long been disliked by other non-traditional ACC members because they control the conference.
FSU/Clemson / Miami - I can see this. SEC wouldn't want them. B1G wouldn't either. At least not ideally. Their academics are not what the B1G looks for. Though maybe they would have bent in the end. So your choices are Big XII or ACC.
Virginia - B1G / SEC would probably love to have Virginia.
Virginia Tech - SEC if Virginia was not there.
NC State - maybe prefer ACC especially since they would not have SEC invite unless UNC declined.
Georgia Tech - Maybe B1G. No chance at SEC.
I can see why the smaller schools hitched on to the wagon.
Too much risk for any schools not named UNC / Virginia and UNC loves the ACC so I can see why most schools signed this.

So basically we get stuck at 14

The last time the ACC expanded, Virginia told the ACC they needed to add Virginia Tech, or they would not approve the new additions to the conference.

This reminds me of the Soviets putting up the Berlin Wall to keep people from escaping to freedom.

So now the SEC is flanked by two walls (big XII and ACC).

I guess we're going to find out soon if the rumors about a requirement of a CCG to get an equal playoff share are true. If so, the Big 12 adds are going to be....interesting

They've got to go to 10. But who?
*meant 12*

you mean 12, right?
My guess is schools in the mix are Cinci, Memphis, USF, and UCF. I think schools like UConn and BYU and the like are just too poor of a geographical fit. I wonder if UNM or CSU could make a case. My guess is they take the Florida pair and hope they can gain some traction. But man have they screwed up this entire process.

this is a real dick move by ESPN. They started all this crap and now screw it up and leaves the SEC and the B1G in a shite position being stuck at 14.

East Carolina and Cincinnati to the SEC!
Tubbs knew this was going to go down all along!

Yeah but the ACC is ESPN property and the B1G isn't. If ESPN didn't save the ACC then they would only have 1 major conference.

And just imagine the money they'd have to pay.'
Monopolies are expensive.
It's really not in ESPN's interest to have to pay all the money to major conferences when a lesser major conference can continue to keep costs lower.
