Oh yeah no conflict of interest here that could skew facts to make ole miss look bad. Can't see any reason for recruits to lie about their recruitment

I guess we could just ignore what any Ole Miss players said because they are just lying to protect Ole Miss.

Works both ways

beat Bama twice in a row you better have one hell of a legal team

the sad thing is, there are a lot of Ole Miss fans that actually believe that beating Alabama has something to do with the investigation

We already knew all about this.

If Ole Miss gets in trouble I think it largely stems from NFL draft night. That was pretty embarrassing for the NCAA to have a first rounder admit that he took money.

Sounds like the NCAA is having trouble finding anything on the Tunsil text. I do find it strange that they are telling players they will not get in trouble if they took money from Ole Miss. I would guess a few 100 dollar handshakes probably happened but those are pretty hard to prove. Usually players don't start getting paid until they start playing for that school. Honestly if I was doing the investigation I would go after players that got processed.

Yeah - this all day. No way anyone else could know this, like the players getting interviewed, besides the NCAA. Has to be leaking info.

Can't we all agree that this is all Butch Jones' fault?

Once the punishment has been announced and served then I will believe it. Until then, this is just posturing by a largely powerless entity.

That's cute how you think they can get sued.

They've been sued and lost (or settled out of court) before when people were defamed during an investigation, so it is possible.

But suing for a report that uses unnamed sources to possibly implicate unnamed coaches in unnamed violations involving unnamed recruits?

Yeah, good luck with that.

NCAA Enforcement representatives have visited Auburn and Mississippi State, and perhaps at least one more SEC Western Division school, this summer to speak with players who were recruited by Ole Miss. The players were granted immunity from potential NCAA sanctions in exchange for truthful accounts of their recruitment, sources said.

Im not an Ole Miss fan but this seems sketchy as hell.

I guess the Auburn and MSU players turned down piles of cash from Ole Miss to sign for free elsewhere?

What upstanding young gentlemen - money is so overrated

If a player was taking money from ole miss and went somewhere else it's not a hard stretch to say he was probably offered more to go to the school he's currently at or at least something equal.

Exactly. Everything gets dragged into court and you are under oath at that point. That's why nobody sues in these cases.

Depends on the school
