Being "behind" at this point is deceptive. Because of the rain delay and Alabama teeing off late, they've only played about a third of their first round.

so bama being so far behind at this point is not a big issue?
What USCe & AU have in their favor currently is that they are in the clubhouse with their 1st round outta the way...

Additionally, for Auburn and South Carolina at least, it seems that the front nine is playing easier than the back nine. Bama started today on the back nine.
Anybody know how they plan on making up the rain/lightning delay?

Print the name on the trophy. Alabama will run away with this.

I thought we were supposed to be good at golf. Why are we +5? How much is left to be played? Do we just have to advance to the next round and then get a clean slate?

With match play, anything can happen.

I'm not crazy about the new format for men's golf with ta king the top 8 from the stroke play portion and then have an 8 team match play format. Alabama blew away the field in stroke play 2 years ago and would have been national Champs under the old format and the one still used by the women. Alabama won their first two matches before losing to Jordan Spieth and Texas on the last hole of the very last match.

After 1st round SC leads by two.
Actually the first round is still going and Oklahoma has tied SC at -8.

At this rate, Bama will struggle to even make the final eight.
