Pittman is not the sexy hire, but he seems like a guy who knows this is a great opportunity and will put in the hours to getting the right staff and building the program.

And honestly it seems like his players love him. I doubt they ever quit on the guy.

How hard is this at UGA?

He recruited or coached a first round OL pick at North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas before he ever got to Georgia.

He brought in 4-star OL from all over the country the first time he was here. Florida, Minnesota, Colorado, etc.

Great. Why didn't he receive SEC top recruiter then? Why at UGA? It's much harder of a job to recruit to UNC, Tenn, and Arky than UGA

He’s a great coach, can’t you see that?!?

Stop asking all these probing questions like, “does he have any earthly idea what he is doing?” and just give him the benefit of the doubt. Lord knows a 58 year old with zero HC experience deserves it.

I think Pittman is a grand slam, can't miss hire. You'd have to be out of your mind to not think a 60 year old, severely obese, life long position coach wouldn't be able to raise Arkansas up from the ashes. Going from a life long OL coach to a HC isn't that big of a deal.

Sam Pittman = the SEC version of Freddie Kitchens

huh? Freddie Kitchens played at Alabama, so clearly, Freddie Kitchens is the SEC version of Freddie Kitchens.

They may be more competitive. They won't be better than Bama, LSU, Auburn and A&M for a long while. That is their ceiling.

Orgeron, Dabo, many successes can be named along with the failures. It's a wait and see.

At worst, he'll stabilize this mess a little bit. Kiffin is there for the check. Pittman is there because he wants to prove himself. Don't underestimate that.

All coaching hires are a wait and see. I'd rather go this route than guarantee 75 mil to a splash.

While others are hitting the twilight of their career as they head into their 60’s, this guy is rolling up his sleeves and is ready to learn how to become a head coach. Incredible!

They say he loves Ark and it’s his dream job, so by the time he figures out what he’s doing, they should be able to hold onto him well into his 70’s.

Damn, we should've just hired Kiffin so we can sign 25 3*'s.

Nobody is coaching Pro Bono. Everyone is "there for a check".

Kiffin could’ve processed that entire class and replaced them with Oxford High and he’d still whip Arkansas with them.

In Arky lingo - going bowling. Winning division titles, winning conference championships - very seldom mentioned in the media, chatboards or Johnny on the street here in Ark. "As long as we go to a bowl game we've had a decent season".

A decent season at Bama, Auburn and LSU constitutes many pissed off fans.

I don't see anything about him being a good coach in these quotes. Just that he was a good fit for Ole Miss. They were shitting on your program and you weren't perceptive enough to pick up on it.
