the undersized db's will be a disadvantage all year. its not time to panic bro, because its one loss and one game. on a positive note, they showed no quit and coulda packed it in at 30-10. typical fans are to dumb to realize ole miss has D-1 players and top recruits on their roster too. credit Kelly for playing a great game and no way the rebs win that game with Wallace.

Forced and unforced turnovers killed us as OM cashed them in. But we did outgain then, more first downs, had time of possesion, was able to run the ball against a damn good defense. There were some positives.
But, scoreboard. Congrats Ole Miss.
+1. Congratulations on the win OM

Gotta put a lot of the blame on the Bama offensive coaches. Bateman can run, OM left him wide open to do so, but he didn't. When Bama was forced to abandon the gameplan and Coker started running, plenty of room. Hopefully, they'll learn from that.

quote:Bateman blew his chance last night. You're right...he had read options numerous time where Ole Miss just disregarded the QB run, and he didn't/wouldn't take it. His mobility is his only advantage over other QBs, and he didn't take advantage of it...go figure.
I didn't understand why you start Bateman, who is very mobile, and he didn't run the ball. Ole Miss wasn't even covering him against the run. He had wide open fields and didn't run. Coker, who can't run, even came in and ran the ball. But if Bama turns the ball over 5 times, including 2 on kickoff returns, against any of the other teams left on the schedule, we'll lose most of them.

How can you have 4 QBs on roster who are 4* or better and not have one ready to play?
Like LSU, Alabama will always have enough talent to win 9-10 games, but Alabama isn't keeping up with modern football.
Alabama has allowed 40+ points in 3 of the last six games.

It was very frustrating. Don't cover AU or LSU's QB running the ball and see what happens.

My take: BAMA is still talent-wise the best team in the SEC except at QB. Georgia is not far off. Being a homer, I have to put LSU in the list of talented teams as well. Depth at DL and DB is a weak link. Last night was a classic example of BAMA not bringing their A game. Ole Miss is good. I certainly don't want to discount that. I underestimated their Defense big time. Sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. A couple of freak plays and BAMA wins with the 5 turnovers. No way someone is going to convince me Ole Miss is more talented than BAMA. Shite happens.

It was one game. It's early in the season. If it jolts Bama into getting better, it may be a good thing. Never can tell.
