If, and it's a big if, LSU makes a slam dunk hire in 2016, LSU is still likely two to four years out of possibly competing for a playoff spot or an SEC Title. We're not going to be world beaters with some new guy right away.

We will likely have some embarrassing loses over the the next season or two and that's okay, they may even be blowouts. It's all part of it.

I'm just glad we're not going in circles anymore with the same guy underachieving.

LSU fans can get excited about football again and that's what matters.

LSU is always good "in the future". We got to hear all off season how LSU will be awesome "in the future".

Most of us are focused on this season. And, we're enjoying it.

Good luck.

Spot on. It's going to be an absolute shitshow and I foresee this band of knuckledraggers on the rant becoming the stuff of legend as it unfolds. Chicken is going to make a lot of money when these morons go viral.

It's time for new blood. Yeah it might not be what we imagined as fans, but it's time to give it a shot.

Tennessee and Georgia fans said the same thing when they let their longtime coaches go. It doesn't always work out for the best.

I'm not sure I agree. I think somebody like Herman gets in there, y'all could be contending from day 1. I guess you're losing some talent next year, but still..

Exactly, we're rolling the dice but the dice needs to be rolled.

In one sense, Les Miles only needed a better OC, a year to go through growing pains with that, but the unrealistic expectations of the fan base made that impossible. It's not easy to assemble the talent Les has, and it's fairly likely the next guy won't. In another way, if LSU fans were more realistic, Les could have groomed this young QB and won big in a few years, but the fan base doesn't want that either. The swamp kitten fan base is setting their program back and I love it.

He didn't need a better OC. He just needed to let his OC do what they wanted and to stop meddling.

Booked flights to the Bama game on Thursday with 2 friends who played Big 12 football. I was emotionless to the idea of going, but wanted to show them what the best of the SEC had to offer.

After yesterday's loss, I felt like I had wasted a trip. This morning, I couldn't be any more excited. I feel like the entire identity of our fanbase shifted in 24 hours.

If we get a good coach, there shouldn't be many embarrassing blowouts with our talent. If that's the case, we probably didn't get the right guy. This isn't really a rebuilding job. It's an Xs and Os job.

This season? With Interim Ed Orgeron? Your chances of beating Bama went way down. You know that right?
