Do y'all EVER think that NFL players would positively respond to the way Saban coaches? Do y'all think they'd respond to his personality? Do you think he could get them to do what he wanted them to do without changing the way he does things?

I don't. And I believe he knows himself better than to try again. I mean.. like he said guys... "This is only the beginning..."

you underestimate his ego. the man will not say he failed at the n.f.l. level. you will never here him use that word. why? because he doesn't believe he is the reason the dolphins didn't succeed under him. It's the g.m., salary cap issue, ect.

therefore, i believe, if the n.f.l. would consider him after the bridge he burnt, he would give it another shot. his ego is such that he has to prove he can succeed at that level.

saban is not a humble guy. he's very vein. Thus the vaneer teeth, coloring of the hair, the rants, ect. The man must be challenged. he's that type of driven guy.

My greatest fear, as far as Alabama football goes is as you'd imagine.. losing Saban. And losing Saban to the NFL has been, in my mind, the greatest probability. I have never been concerned that he'd leave Tuscaloosa for another college.

Since I'm going to coach forever, there's no need to think about $aban coming in to replace me.

Sincerely,

If Pete Carroll can fail twice in the NFL, have all that success at USC and then head back to the NFL, then tricky Nicky can too. It is all about the money.

Bama will be a much better place because he coached there though. Enjoy it while you can.

Saban coached a horrible game to get this NC, and was just plain lucky that he got there, much less that he won. Texas came very close to pulling the upset with a cold off the bench freshman!

Don't Panic! This is NOT just the begging. It is too easy to forget that all the other dudes, Miles, etc, all get paid to work as well.

the guy that started this thread sounds a lot like last years Florida fans, counting the multiple National Championships. Who knows where this ends up. Does anyone see Saban doing this, at his pace and attitude, for more than 5 more years? I don't. The dude is going to have a stroke!

Saban is living his life's dream. Why would he want to leave?

lets say saban wins another nc in next 2-3 years. he would be 61 years old then. lets say bama offers him another extension at 5.5 mill a year. lets say some nfl team comes in with 9 mill over 5 years. i don't see saban coaching past 65-67. now 4.5 mill x 5 is 22.5 mill more in your pocket. i'd say 9 mil would be cheap for saban. i'm sure 10mil is not impossible. i am sure his kids and saban would want the extra money. thats why he would leave bubba. more moola in nfl than ncaa.

Saban doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach in the NFL .. as long as he's good w/ that, he won't go anywhere.

I think that if Saban leaves for another college program it would be Penn State after Paterno is no longer the coach there. I don't think any fan base can say that their coach won't take another job (well besides Penn State). The days of Woody Hayes, Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden are over.
