To be honest, I haven't seen any Bama posters actually claim that Bama is unbeatable. Many of them act that way, but I have not seen anyone post anything that bold except maybe fans of other schools, particularly fans of schools from other conferences.

I don't think you want to go there.

Actually don't mind doing this at all. Go ahead.

I can tell you I already know A&M does not have a higher strength of schedule but it doesn't matter. They are pretty close together. Not like Bama has a SOS of 5 and Ags are 35.

But you go ahead. I will wait.....

I'm wondering where you're seeing all of these threads you've now referenced twice.

My mistake maybe its the underlying insecurity of the threads like this that pop up or post in other threads.

But I am still waiting to hear where aTm has the advantage on the field. I do not believe we unbeatable but to do so you either need a lot of luck or advantages on the field to exploit our disadvantages and have yet to see anyone post them. Sure I have seen schedules being talked about and who did what to who but yet to see anything to suggest aTm is the team to beat us. Just saying

Bama fans might be over confident, but the players are not.

A&M is undefeated and ranked #6, Bama's players will not overlook them. Saban will have them ready to play.

I don't think we will win but since you asked:

-we have a QB who plays his best games against Bama so far

-we can give up 1 meeeeellion rushing yards and still win games

-our WRs are a strength and is Bama's weakness (if anything on Bama's team can be called that)

-Our D Line will make Bama's QB feel pressure he has never seen and that might cause mistakes

Those long runs brings up another issue for A&M on Saturday

Opponent Long Scrimmage Plays (SEC Rank)
10+ yards : 13th
20+ yards : 10th
30+ yards : 11th
40+ yards : 9th
50+ yards : 11th

From what I've seen, aTm is basically 2015 LSU. They have some talent at certain positions, but also have some glaring weaknesses. They've gotten too much hype based on beating some mediocre teams.

We will see if I'm right this week.

I don't see why the Bama game is the metric. They can make anyone look like a patsy when they are having a good day.

I think our season is more defined by how we do against LSU and Ole Miss.

I don't think this team has exhibited any signs of overconfidence. I doubt they would go into a game against a top 10, undefeated team that way. They also won't be overconfident going into Tiger stadium or playing chief rival Auburn. I guess that leave Miss St to lose to.

You don't see why the best team aTm is going to face all year is the best metric to gauge just how good they actually are?

Ok.

Actually it could be argued it's the worst.
It's best to throw out the outliers on either end of the continuum.

You are right. The team hasn't exhibited any signs of this. Saban has been pissed about a few things at the end of big wins so he is trying to guard against complacency.

It is really the fans that seem really overconfident. Not all but enough. Already hearing about how the second team would win the East. Just waiting to hear how Bama would be the Jaquars or some other NFL team. shite gets old.

Weren't all these guys playing against bama last year? What happened? Alabama lined up and ran it down your throats. Rushing the passer is fun, but it doesn't matter if you can't stop the run. Barnett got 1 pressure last Saturday for Tennessee. It resulted in a sack fumble, but Cam Robinson won every other rep in protection. Hurts doesn't make many mistakes, he's shown the willingness to throw the ball away. He is a better runner than anyone y'all have faced this season, pinning your ears back will get you gashed. Good luck rattling him too. That goes both ways. Everyone knows A&M has good pass rushers, there are two sides to that coin though.

No, not if we will never face another team that good all year and we can still have a great season after a loss to Bama.

The problem is some people want to crown us just because we want a little respect. For too many people on this forum either your are competing for the title or your season is a waste with no room for gray.
