Charlie Strong would be your best option. He would dominate instate recruiting. He is familiar with the area and would maintain the defense. In my opinion he would be the quickest turn around to get you back to the SEC Championship game where we can have those ultimate games between Florida and Alabama.

We were stupid for not getting Strong in 2010 instead of Muschamp.

Strong took the Louisville job the year prior.

Florida is the only place I think we would lose Strong to. If that happens, Petrino back to Louisville.

He's said before that he hated the pressure. "22 wins in a row and had no fun at all doing it."

With that being said, I'd love to have Strong. A defensive guy that actually has an offense, plus strong (no pun intended) recruiting ties in the state.

We just waiting on Chip Kelly to fail in the NFL while Boom is stacking up the defense.

I honestly can not believe that any credible AD choice for Texas would come after Muschamp at this point. I don't know what he has shown that would warrant spending $4 or 5 million to get him there. I like the guy, but that is insane. That said, if he goes, you aren't going to find too many people that upset. We keep Durkin on as DC and hire an offensive minded HC.

I know you were BSing, but he seriously may have saved his job with that win.

Kind of thought that Sumlin would be the next coach. But USC could out bid the horns for his service. And yes, Saban can be bought. About 9 million a year would do the trick.

Since LSU plays Florida every year, I'll double whatever you pitch in.

I've heard that Texas is very interested in Strong.

I doubt Strong will go to Texas with his interracial marriage.

Doesn't to me, to to the people in power( and let's face it, some fans as well) it does.
