You can't fire him after Texas wins the Big 12.

I don't consider Muschamp to be a moron.
Believe it or not, his personality has toned down significantly since his first season at UF.
But if Texas wants to throw all kinds of money at him, who cares. He can go.
Hes a good defensive coach, but the offense hasn't improved.
If he stays, he has probably another year or 2 at UF before Foley might pull the trigger. That is if UF doesn't win the East.
Only problem is really, I don't really know the ideal coaching candidate for UF right now.
Would like a better offense, but I don't want the defense completely going to shite either.

he can retire
Texas isn't going to fire Mack Brown, anyways. He would "retire" into an administrative role.
If Texas wins the Big 12.. which isn't too far-fetched.. He'll be the coach next season.

If Texas beats Baylor, and they should since it will be 5 star studs versus overacheiving 3 star players, then Mack is safe for at least another year.

The Baylor that struggled with the first not garbage team they played? Kansas State isn't even any good.

If Texas by a miracle wins the Big 12, then Mack, who believe it or not is still a smart guy. Would probably take that as an opportunity to leave "on top"

The point was, why fire Mack Brown and hire an unproven coach? I know he has ties, but do you want ties? or severance?
Posted on 10/13/13 at 11:45 pm to PepaSpray
ok, well who do they go after?

If TX is dumb enough to pay a coach that hasn't won shite 5 mill, more power to them. UF won't make fiscally irresponsible decisions, so they can have him. He doesn't deserve shite until he shows he can at least win the East.
We won the East last year.
