Long reminds me of Mike Alden. Solid.

I find that Long deserves credit for attempting to lay facts out for media/public so nobody has any question why he came to the decision he did.

I agree he is very forth-coming

Enough with acting like a prick. Deal with it and Jeff Long is the only thing that looks good out of all of this.

the only good thing i've seen out of jeff long since he was hired was petrino. Other than that he has a laundry list of shite he has fricked up. The basketball search worked out well but we were completely fricked if anderson didn't come on board(dream job). The last football search was only good because petrino fell into our laps. He ruined our track program and now it turns out he can't handle his subordinate personnel.....He should be fired for sucking at his job.

As painful as this is and will be, Jeff Long makes me proud to be from the State of Arkansas. (But I still hate the Hogs.). I didn't think this would happen but it was the courageous call.

See you in September!

People said that about Mal Moore when he fired Mike Price. I think this will turn out better for you guys in the long run than if you had kept Petrino.

I'm pretty sure she was more qualified for the position than the previous guy who held the position. If he hands her 20k thats cool he's a dumbass but it's his money.

It doesn't matter how qualified she is if he doesn't disclose the relationship and give other people the opportunity to prove their worth. You have no idea who else applied or the advantage she was given... qualified or not.

This Q&A session is actually more impressive than Thursday. He is answering everything but HR issues, which by law he can not.

I gained a little respect for Arkansas today. Firing that asshat took balls.

He handled that press conference like a fricking BOSS!

Only second to the stud that handled the press conference after Paterno was fired at Penn State.

Damn good ad.

Yeah, he seems to have developed a conscience since he hired his first coach at Arky behind the coach's previous organization's back.

I gained a shite-ton of respect for Arkansas today. They are now my second favorite SEC team behind LSU.

I would have respect for him if he had apologized to Miles after Petrino was such an a-hole to Miles after we whipped his arse in Tiger Stadium.....

He made the only decision today that he could....I failed to see what was so emotional in his presser causing him to lose it a few times...

For reals. He nailed that presser and called Petrino on all his deceit and giant ego. Hit a homerun with this hire and he's golden at Arky for life.
