Lexington KY has a MSA of around 1/2 million people

Louisville KY has a MSA of around 1 million people

Majority of the states population lives in the triangle (NKY / CKY / LOU)

Jackson is the largest city in Mississippi with a population of 173,514. Lexington has 318,449 people. Kentucky has twice the population of Mississippi and Lexington, Louisville and the KY suburbs of Cincinnati make up the majority of Kentucky's population, so it's not crazy.

Stats do not really tell what a city is like.
I like Lexington, I had a cousin that was a math professor at UK many years ago and we visited there. Nice city.
However, Starkvegas is cool little College city that has a lot going for it. Bigger is not always better.
State’s campus is the most beautifully landscaped in the SEC. The UK fans that come will enjoy it. Fans here are very friendly.

State's game next week will determine whether they go 9-3 or 8-4.

The Jackson Metro (MSA) population is estimated to be over 579,000.

The Tri-County area population is approximately 500,000 (Hinds, Rankin, Madison).

MS has 82 counties in size 32 of 50 (48,432 square miles)

KY has 120 counties in size 37 of 50 (40,408 square miles)

3 counties in MS would be quite a bit bigger than 3 counties in KY

Almost 20% larger and 33% fewer counties

No argument about overall population. Just pointing out that
Jackson isn't as small as you seem to think. The figure you quoted was for Jackson corporate limits, not the metro population.

Mississippi has the smallest population of all the southern states. We all know that. Btw number of counties is pretty irrelevant since most date from the 19th century and it has little to do with modern population shifts. But clearly population per square mile is relevant.

The mass exodus from people who left Jackson to areas just outside the city limits is incredible. It used to have over 200,000. It has become a shite hole of a city. Then, it you knew who ran that place you'd understand why and crime is out of control. It is becoming a small version of Chicago.

Jerry Clower was the best. He would have you ROTFL and never use the first word of inappropriate language.
His stories are still funny even today, 20 years after his death.

Jerry Clower coon hunting with a buddy and he is up in a tree fighting with a raccoon biting and clawing.

(Clower) "John...Shoot the gun."

(John) "But I might hit you"

(Clower) "Well shoot up here amongst us, one of us has got to get some relief"

So what city in Mississippi is better than Lexington?

City Smack? Really? Not just one post, but on and on and on...
Congratulations on repeating the fact that MS is still a small, poor state. You had to dig deep to find that fact.

You guys cover but lose in a low scoring game because your players can't find the hoop and the ball dribbles funny.

Now that's how you smack.

BTW, I live in Austin, TX, which has about as much bearing as Quantum Physics on tomorrow's game.

Enjoy the rest of your season.

Which state has more cows, now that would be some appropriate smack talk

And who said there would be no QP involved?

Inside the stadium the Wildcats will have won or lost but we will not know if we are not inside the stadium to see it.

However, through particles of light we may be able to see it if we do not to work or take care of the kids at the same moment in time AND we have cable or satellites it is not on antenna TV.

You do know light was invented in Mississippi, don't you?

Water, too.

Hard to live without either of them, even in Lexington.
