First, he must be offered the Michigan job and I dont think that's going to happen... If it does, he probably gone, but it's not happening.

STRONG use of CAPITALIZATION in your POST THERE.

And if it's the same as Coonass calling Freeze to UF then we have someone do the same shite. Why does it bother you so?

Because you do it every year. It was cute the first couple of times. Now, it's old as shite.

This is real ignorance on my end, but why is it an Ole Miss alum in this situation? Is Mullen not doing contract negotiations? Could this be an agent doing work for their client, in this case Mullen?

Mullen is hot right now and it will probably be a while before he gets his stock as high as it is now. He probably is thinking about it and I would understand if he goes. But he needs to finish the season with the bowl game-he owes it to the team and fans whose support helped him get that opportunity!!!

Either way, Mullen will end buying himself a nice new vacation house from the extra money!

You folks are trying to get Dan to take one for the team. Why would Mullen want to go to Michigan? His contract is being upgraded and big money is big money in Stark Arbor. Besides, the Maize and Blue will never be a major player in college football again. That's right, I'm afraid the landscape has changed, friends.

Oh...and 52-14.

Funny how last year Mullen was garbage according to this board...now he is being mentioned for these big jobs and people could see it happening.

Some things never change.....

At least half of the State posters here wanted Mullen fired before the egg bowl last year.

You're damn right some things never change.

Geez. No need to be so defensive. It is a compliment to your coach that other teams are looking at him.

He did a great job this year and am sure he will be compensated. Do you expect him to retire at Miss State?
Most coaches will get fired way before that happens. He would be crazy not to let rumors give him more leverage for a bigger and better contract.

Last year Sumlin was "gone" to every college with an opening, and more than a few NFL teams.
Fast-forward ten months: He's the worst coach in the country.

That's exactly why a coach has to 'make hay while the sun shines'. Mullen's stock will probably never be any higher at MSU than it is right now. Now is the time to move up if he gets a chance.

I've seen Mullen's name tossed around for the Michigan job, but haven't paid too much attention to any other coaching changes other than AU's.

Oh. So it's pretty useless to post unless you are an Msu fan who actually would remember it? I mean, after all, they will never be a power again, right? And they certainly weren't at that point?
