I have always thought highly of MSU, but please, please do not make the mistake of your lil' brother up in the north portion of the state, now that you guys are being successful. Maybe go back and actually read his post. Where's the "trash talk"? Do you see bragging about a win? Who i s the pretentious prick after all?

It wasn't directed at him. It was a caution to not act like a jerk. I see some of our fans do it too. Don't want to see MSU act like that. I think they are better than that, and it makes it much easier to root for them when the time comes.

Also you can't be "on" government protection. The general statement is someone is "in" witness protection.

OMG, why can't anybody understand this? I said nothing pretentious and am in no way arrogant! I picked us to lose to LSU. All I did is tell you what the talking heads are saying today - which is that the SEC is not a good league outside of Bama. Exhibit A, MSU beat LSU. Exhibit B - Auburn lost to Clemson.
It's absurd. At the end of the year, they will realize the SEC has about 9 really good teams.

State beat LSU, they won 1 game, we lost 1 game. Now, for some reason, their fans act as if they have arrived, the same way they did in 2014. They will get smacked down reality here in the coming weeks. By the bama game, they will be back to the state we all know and love.

I apologize if you think I was inferring that you're pretentious or arrogant in any way, because I was not. My BIL is a diehard Bulldog fan. He loves MSU football. I grew up in MS and almost everyone of my classmates went to MSU. I have no bad feelings at all about them or your program. The brethren up north are a different story. I was just pointing out that don;t ruin success by alienating those who are not necessarily your enemies. I don't think MSU broke the SEC. There are many good teams, and lots of football to be played. During the last decade of Bama's success I have seen some of our fans create the image which we have which is not too great. Ball smacking the forehead of a drunk LSU fan and killing a few trees will get you attention for sure. Personally, I think humility and letting the scoreboard talk the talk is plenty. Please accept my apology. It was not meant to be demeaning.
