That's so new.

we are also first on the list of "teams whose most important player has had a season ending injury the most consecutive years"

that guy is a moron. He ranks us the most overrated team of the last decade and the support sentences are:
-they sometimes have finished unranked
-richt is now at miami
umm..ok?

I'm sure they played a part...no doubt. However, had Richt finished 11-1 do you honestly believe he would have been fired? It was just the right set of circumstances at the same time.

I would say he comes closer to being a moron than a journalist. And I try not to call names if possible.

Both UGA and LSU deserve to be on this list, somewhere. UGA most certainly does not deserve to be number 1.
Just an interesting tidbit, but UGA is 2nd, LSU 3rd, in the conference in wins over the last 4 years. I stopped at 2012 because I don't have time to do the whole decade.
1. Alabama (50-6)
*NB4 Huge Gap
2. UGA (40-13)
3. LSU (37-14)
4. Texas A&M (36-16)
t-6. MSU (34-18)
t-6. Ole Miss (34-18)
t-8. Florida (33-19)
t-8. Missouri (33-19)
9. South Carolina (32-19)
10. Auburn (30-22)
11. Tennessee (26-23)
12. Vanderbilt (25-25)
13. Arkansas (22-28)
14. Kentucky (14-34)

I'm actually agreeing with Aggy somewhat when it comes to Oklahoma. I agree with overrated based on failing to win another national title while 2000 is slowly getting further and further away.
But not fully overrated as they have maintained a winning consistency which has included 9 conference titles, the only program to win all 4 BCS games, and to play in the CFP. Yeah, it's not Alabama success but at least it's not blah finishes like Aggy.

I'm not addressing the rest of your post, just this. I've seen similar quotes (albeit over a longer period of time) and I honestly don't get why anyone would brag about it under the BCS and playoff systems. Conference/bowl tie-ins, the co-opting of a bowl for a title game, and the fact that all represent the zenith, means that winning four straight Sugar Bowls is no less prestigious than winning four different BCS bowls.

I agree mostly. It's an accomplishment because how sensitive the Rose Bowl committee was to still sticking with their traditional Pac 10/Big Ten affair. Oklahoma being in the 2003 game in a non-nc matchup was huge. That's why completing the 4 different BCS bowl win cycle was huge, more so in the sense it was rather a unique accomplishment.

Okay, fair point. Rose Bowl, I'll give you. The lack of openness in their system does make getting to (and winning) the Rose Bowl slightly rarer in recent times.

On the rise? You can't even get a qb to stay more than a year but you are on the rise.

Sumlin's seat is getting pretty warm as well. Idk what about this off season has you so optimistic. Especially with the transfers at QB and teams like LSU taking key TX recruits. Still looks to be a solid class, but certainly not anything to be overly optimistic about. JMO
